Smart rings are becoming increasingly popular, and RingConn has recently unveiled its third-generation model. The RingConn Gen 3 brings several improvements, including a built-in vibration motor and a new feature that tracks nighttime blood pressure trends. Priced at $349 globally (or $314 for pre-orders), the device continues the company’s tradition of not requiring a monthly subscription to use the companion app.
RingConn Gen 3 Specifications
The Gen 3 is a titanium ring with a medical-grade epoxy resin on the inside. It measures approximately 2.3mm in thickness and weighs between 2.5 and 3.5 grams depending on the size. This keeps it within the standard footprint for smart rings. Inside, it houses typical sensors such as an optical heart rate sensor, a temperature sensor, and an accelerometer.
One of the most significant hardware upgrades is the inclusion of a vibration motor. Adding haptic feedback to a ring without making it bulky or draining the battery significantly is a challenge, but RingConn has managed to incorporate it. The vibration motor provides physical nudges for alerts like low battery, high stress, or prolonged inactivity. This feature reduces the need to constantly check your phone for updates.

Health Tracking Enhancements
On the health tracking front, RingConn introduces a feature called Vascular Health Insights. It is important to note that this is not a medical diagnostic tool. Instead, it automatically monitors blood pressure trends overnight while you sleep, helping users understand how their daily habits might affect their vascular health over time.
The Gen 3 also includes sleep apnea pattern tracking and full-cycle predictions for women. For everyday use, it tracks standard metrics such as blood oxygen levels, stress, and workouts, with automatic detection for basic exercises like walking, running, and cycling.

Battery Life and Connectivity
Battery life is another key aspect of the Gen 3. When vibrations are turned off, the ring can last between 11 and 14 days. If vibrations are enabled, the lifespan drops to 10 to 12 days. The device comes with a wireless charging case that can hold up to 150 days of standby charge and takes about 90 minutes to fully recharge the ring.
It is also water-resistant up to 10ATM, meaning you don’t have to remove it for showering or swimming. The Gen 3 is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and syncs with Apple Health and Google Health Connect. If you’re away from your phone, the ring can store up to 10 days of data locally.
In related news, Rogbid has launched the SR15 smart ring, which offers similar health tracking features along with vibration-based alerts.
