Jenelle Evans, a former star of Teen Mom 2, has expressed confusion over the continued attention she receives despite having stepped away from the public eye for several years.
“It’s crazy how much I’m stalked when I’m not even a celebrity and not on TV anymore,” the 35-year-old MTV alum shared on X on Thursday, May 28. “Why do any of you care?”
Her comments followed a video posted by TMZ showing Evans walking with crutches and packing a U-Haul as her estranged husband, David Eason, loaded the vehicle in Las Vegas, Nevada, ahead of their move to Florida.
The post sparked a range of responses from followers, with one person suggesting, “Because people worry about your children’s safety.” Another added, “Because you’ve always put men before your children. Because you’re with a man that has abused you and your children. You post on TikTok like a mentally ill t—, so we’re gonna comment on it.”
A second commenter questioned, “Why are you with him since he’s a deadbeat that doesn’t work and is abusive?” while a third wrote, “It’s like watching a train wreck, how do you NOT watch?”
Inside Jenelle Evans and David Eason’s Relationship Status
Amid ongoing speculation, Evans appeared on the “La Femme Talk” podcast with host Dr. Rachel Mason on Monday, April 13, to address their relationship status.
Evans and Eason were married from 2017 to 2024 before divorcing in 2025. They share a daughter, Ensley Eason, who is 9 years old.
Jenelle is also the mother of sons Jace Evans, 16, with ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis, and Kaiser Griffith, 11, with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith.
“I think right now I’m just focusing on co-parenting right with all my exes and just trying to make things as civil as possible,” Evans said on the podcast. “And if that means my daughter seeing us getting along together, going out to have lunch or dinners, I mean, that’s fine with me. As long as we can all get along, you know?”
The blended family recently celebrated Easter together in Las Vegas.

Jenelle Evans and David Eason’s Relationship History
Their relationship has been anything but stable. The couple got engaged in February 2017 and married later that September. A year into their marriage, Jenelle accused Eason of assaulting her outside their home, though she later described the incident as “a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding.”
In 2019, she changed her relationship status to “Separated” on Facebook, with an insider telling Us Weekly that they were “fighting” but remained together.
When Jenelle filed for separation in March 2024, she stated that the separation was intended to be permanent and claimed Eason had “exhibited concerning and at times disturbing behavior towards [her]” throughout their marriage.
Despite the rumors, Jenelle has consistently maintained that the couple is only co-parenting and not reconciling.

Mental Issues Plagued Jace Evans
In March, Jace was hospitalized in a mental health facility after allegedly pulling a gun on his grandmother, Barbara, and threatening to kill both her and himself.
Sources told TMZ that the 16-year-old reportedly placed the firearm to his head during the incident.
The outburst occurred amid concerns about the teenager’s suspected substance use, with insiders claiming he had been drinking and using drugs before the life-threatening event.

Jenelle visited him on Friday, May 1, during parents’ weekend, documenting the trip with a carousel of photos that included kayaking and horse fun on Instagram.
“Therapy and kayaking with my best friend,” she posted. “Both working on ourselves at the same time 💓🥹 #ParentsWeekend #MentalHealthAwareness.”
During the interview with the “La Femme Talk” podcast, Jenelle spoke about the positive experience.
“Behind the scenes, I’ve been actually getting help for my son as needed, and he’s in a safe place [in a] holistic approach,” she said. “And he’s very happy right now, and he’s very focused on himself. And I think that’s the most important thing.”
She continued, “A lot of people, they think since I’m being so quiet that I might not be doing anything and not taking action. But just know that if I’m quiet, I’m up to something.”
