Jason Alexander Makes Rare Appearance in Los Angeles
Jason Alexander, best known for his iconic role as George Costanza on the legendary sitcom Seinfeld, was recently spotted in a rare outing in Los Angeles. The 66-year-old actor, who has become a beloved figure in television history, was seen taking a walk with a friend on a sunny weekend.
Alexander’s outfit for the occasion was both stylish and comfortable. He chose a plaid button-down shirt, which he paired with a black blazer and blue jeans. To complete his look, he wore dark sneakers and sunglasses to shield his eyes from the sun. The New Jersey native also added a belt with a prominent gold buckle, giving his ensemble a touch of sophistication.
This was not the first time Alexander has been seen in Los Angeles, but it was certainly a notable moment. His last appearance in the city was in December, making this outing all the more interesting for fans.

A Memorable Moment on Seinfeld
Alexander’s role as George Costanza is one of the most memorable in television history. In 2024, he shared a particularly vivid memory of his time on the show, recalling a scene from the third season episode titled “The Red Dot.” In this episode, George engages in a romantic relationship with the office cleaning woman, leading to an awkward and humorous situation.
“I remember that scene so clearly because I thought it was so brilliant,” Alexander said during an appearance on the Australian TV show The Project. “It was an episode where George was working at the publishing company and had sexual relationships in his office with the cleaning woman and got caught.”
He continued: “If you’re writing that scene and you’re going: ‘Okay, I’ve got this guy George Costanza, what happens next?’ Whatever you would imagine it wouldn’t be what they came up with.”
Alexander then repeated George’s famous line, “Is that wrong?” which has since become an iconic part of the show’s legacy.

Insights into George Costanza
The way the creators, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, approached the scene gave Alexander a deeper understanding of George’s character. “That is the most brilliant try to save your own behind that I could have ever imagined,” he said. “When I first saw that script and saw that was the approach they found, that was a big insight into who that character was for me.”
This moment was pivotal for Alexander, as it helped him grasp the complexities of George’s personality. “It was really very helpful for me in understanding how the mind of George Costanza works,” he added.
A Legacy on Television
Seinfeld ran from 1989 to 1998, with Alexander playing George Costanza throughout all nine seasons. His performance earned him numerous accolades, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. He was also nominated for seven consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and four Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actor in Television.
In addition to his work on Seinfeld, Alexander has appeared in several other popular films and television shows. He made a cameo in the second season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, appearing alongside his former Seinfeld co-stars. His filmography includes roles in Pretty Woman (1990), Jacob’s Ladder (1990), Coneheads (1993), and Shallow Hal (2001).
Alexander’s career continues to inspire fans, and his recent appearance in Los Angeles has only added to the excitement surrounding his work.
