The graduating class comprises 58 accomplished pilots, 115 proficient aircraft maintenance technicians, and 284 meticulously trained cabin crew members. These individuals represent a broad spectrum of African nations, including Cameroon, Chad, Ethiopia, Gabon, Italy, Madagascar, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, and Yemen. This international representation underscores the university’s expansive reach and its status as a premier hub for aviation education in Africa.

During the commencement ceremony, Mesfin Tasew, the Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, highlighted the critical factors contributing to the airline’s sustained leadership position in Africa. He emphasized that a core element of this success lies in the airline’s unwavering dedication to recruiting, training, and retaining a workforce that is not only highly skilled but also deeply motivated.
