Livvy Dunne’s First Audition for Big TV Break

Livvy Dunne’s First Acting Audition and New Career Path

Former NCAA gymnast and social media star Livvy Dunne has taken a bold step into the world of acting, marking a significant shift in her career. She recently shared details about her first in-person acting audition, revealing both her excitement and the challenges she faced.

Dunne, who once competed at a high level in gymnastics, has now transitioned to a life centered around social media, endorsements, and now, acting. In an interview for the April edition of Boardroom, she discussed her experience auditioning for the popular HBO dark comedy series ‘The White Lotus’ for its fourth season.

“I felt like I was an athlete again,” Dunne said, reflecting on the experience. “But I also had to deal with the nerves of not knowing if I would get the part.”

She admitted that the pressure of the audition was intense. “I was obviously a bit nervous at first. I was like, ‘Oh man, what if I forget the lines?’ Then I thought, ‘I’ve done things way harder than this in my life. Whoa. I flipped on a beam in front of 13,500 people.’”

Despite the nerves, Dunne approached the audition with confidence. “It’s different. I think I would rather have done a backflip in front of the casting director, but I mean, I went there, I put it all out there. It was my first audition.”

Since then, she has continued to explore her acting potential. “I didn’t know what to expect, and it was honestly really fun. And I’ve done a few more auditions since. Not in person, but that one was pretty cool. I did enjoy doing it in person. It felt like I was an athlete again.”

Dunne has already landed a role in a reboot of the beach lifeguard drama series ‘Baywatch’. The reboot is set to air on Fox during the 2026-27 television season. This new opportunity has further solidified her commitment to acting.

Exploring New Creative Ventures

Dunne has been actively working on her acting skills, completing “lots of auditions” and working with an acting coach. She described her passion for the craft as natural. “Naturally, I gravitate towards things that are more creative,” she said. “My family is quite creative. I come from a family of entrepreneurs. I would love to dive into acting.”

Her journey into acting began after college, when she found it difficult to balance being a student athlete with her brand collaborations. “I couldn’t find the balance between being a student athlete and working with brands. So it’s something I took on after college and it’s been so much fun.”

Dunne credits her support system for helping her along the way. “I have my mom standing there helping me memorize the scripts. I have an amazing acting coach.” This support has allowed her to focus on developing her acting skills and exploring new opportunities.

A New Chapter in Her Career

While Dunne is embracing her new role in acting, she hasn’t completely left behind her athletic roots. Recently, she acquired equity in NOBULL, a fitness company led by Tom Brady. This move highlights her continued interest in the fitness industry.

In addition to her acting pursuits, Dunne has also made a name for herself in modeling. She has appeared multiple times in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, showcasing her versatility and appeal.

As she continues to build her acting career, Dunne remains focused on her goals. “I’ve been doing lots of auditions and rehearsing scripts and getting used to that lifestyle, which has been amazing because it’s something I’ve been passionate about ever since I was in college.”

With each new opportunity, Dunne is proving that she can successfully transition from the world of sports to the entertainment industry. Her journey is just beginning, and the future looks bright for this multi-talented young woman.
