Sophie described Ian as her “hall pass,” a term used to refer to a partner’s permission for a one-time sexual encounter with someone else, often a celebrity. This particular situation took an unexpected turn during the launch of Ian and his co-star Paul Wesley’s bourbon brand, Brother’s Bond Bourbon. At the event, Ian believed Sophie was an investor, which led to a close interaction between the two.
Jamie humorously referred to Ian as his wife’s “hall pass” and revealed that Sophie had pretended to be drinking alcohol despite breastfeeding their six-month-old son, Ziggy, to continue the conversation. Jamie joked that the situation could have ended with Sophie spending the night with Ian.
Sophie recounted the evening, saying, “It was Damon from The Vampire Diaries [played by Ian], and we went to this drinks thing because everyone seems to know I’m obsessed.” She described how Ian was wearing a small cowboy hat that looked like it came from a souvenir shop. She also mentioned that he was shorter than Jamie, which added to the uniqueness of the moment.
“I was getting thrown on him,” she said, highlighting the unusual way the event unfolded. Jamie found it amusing that Sophie was so coy during the encounter, asking, “What do you think is gonna happen here? You guys are gonna go home and shag?”
Sophie explained that Ian was confused by her constant presence at the event, thinking that she was there to promote the whiskey. “He kept selling the whiskey to me,” she said. Despite being breastfeeding, she pretended to drink the whiskey, getting close enough to Ian that their noses were almost touching.
“I nearly went, ‘I’ll drink out of your glass’,” she recalled. Jamie was stunned by her actions, calling her a “big old creep” and asking what she would have said if Ian had suggested going home together. Sophie admitted she would have asked Jamie, prompting Jamie to tease, “And what do you think I would have said?”
Sophie imagined his response, saying, “Sure, go. Hey, Damon, have a fun night. What do you think I would have done?”

He shared a photo of his son Ziggy wearing a “Future Candy Kittens CEO” baby grow, supporting the idea that Ziggy might one day take over the £15M sweet brand he founded in 2012.
In the Instagram post, Jamie showcased the cute outfit along with a hashtag related to nepo babies. Sophie was seen cradling their son, with the back of the outfit cleverly referencing the vegan brand’s slogan. The phrase “I’m made with plants” was humorously changed to “I’m made with Laing & Habboo.”
This lighthearted approach highlights Jamie’s ongoing support for his family and business, while also showcasing the unique dynamics of their relationship.
