A Crucial Moment for Arsenal
Martin Zubimendi has issued a strong warning to Arsenal, stating that there is “no other option” but to win their remaining two Premier League games to secure the title. He emphasized that the team doesn’t care what their rivals do, focusing solely on their own performance.
Arsenal’s upcoming match against Burnley on Monday is critical. A victory would place immense pressure on Manchester City, who will then have to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday. If City fails to win, it would mean Arsenal claiming the title, ending a 22-year trophy drought for the north London club.
Zubimendi said: “We are very clear that to win everything, we have to do our job. We depend on ourselves, so I don’t think we care what the others do. We are focused on ourselves.”
Preparing for the Final Stretch
The challenge ahead includes not only the Premier League but also a Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest in two weeks’ time. Zubimendi expressed his excitement about the upcoming matches, highlighting the long season and the opportunity to achieve something significant.
“We are looking forward to it, because in the end it has been a very long season and, well, we see that we are close, that we can do something big and be able to celebrate a possible feat. If we can do it then it is going to be an important moment for the fans.”
He hopes that London will be “dressed in red,” reflecting the passion of the fans. Zubimendi believes that this could be a unique day, given the experiences he has had throughout the season.

The Pain of Near Misses
Zubimendi is acutely aware of the pain that fans and his teammates have endured from finishing as runners-up for three consecutive seasons. He is determined to change this outcome this year.
“It would be incredible,” he added. “It’s true that (I) haven’t felt (not winning the league) as much as the fans and the (other) players who have felt it over the years with that desire to win this title.”
However, he acknowledges that this year, the desire and expectation for the title have been instilled in all the players, especially those with more experience at the club.
Focus on the Future
With the Premier League title within reach, Zubimendi and his teammates are fully committed to their goals. The upcoming matches will test their resilience and determination, but they are ready to face whatever comes their way.
The team’s focus remains on their own performance, knowing that the outcome of their games will determine whether they can finally lift the Premier League trophy. This is a moment that could define the club’s history, and the players are determined to make the most of it.
As the season reaches its climax, the support from the fans will play a crucial role in driving the team forward. With the right mindset and performance, Arsenal has the chance to create a memorable chapter in their history.
