Jonah Hill’s Malibu Home Listed for $13.25 Million
Jonah Hill, the actor best known for his role in Superbad, has put his former Malibu mansion up for sale at an impressive price of $13.25 million. The property, located in the exclusive Malibu Colony enclave, offers a unique blend of luxury and natural beauty. This is the same home that Hill sold in 2022 for $11.1 million, just a year after moving in.
Hill, now 42, made the decision to leave Los Angeles in search of a quieter life with his wife, Olivia Millar, and their two children. He moved to San Diego, a coastal town known for its low-key lifestyle and strong sense of community. This shift was partly driven by his desire to raise his family away from the pressures of the entertainment industry.
The Malibu property, which he previously owned, is situated between the Pacific Coast Highway and the Pacific Ocean. It features stunning mountain views and direct access to a private beach. The home includes 3,653 square feet of living space, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The interior boasts a soaring living room with a dramatic fireplace, and the design emphasizes indoor-outdoor living.
Staging and design were handled by Tiara Coughlan of Vesta Home, who worked to maintain the home’s ‘effortless California cool’ while adding subtle layers of texture and warmth. The double-height living area is a standout feature, with floor-to-ceiling black-framed windows that flood the space with natural light.
The kitchen is equipped with warm wood cabinetry, modern sink fixtures, and clean-lined white countertops. A spoked chandelier adds a touch of elegance to the dining room, making it ideal for hosting gatherings. Upstairs, the primary suite features a fireside sitting area framed by ebony slatted walls, offering a cozy retreat.
The master bath includes a his-and-hers vanity, oversized custom shower, soaking tub, sauna, and access to a third-level rooftop deck with ‘peekaboo’ ocean views. These spaces are perfect for entertaining friends and family.
French doors open to a private backyard oasis featuring lush landscaping, a lagoon-style pool and spa, and an outdoor kitchen. There are several lounge areas both indoors and outdoors, giving residents flexibility based on their preferences.
Hill recently spoke about his decision to move to San Diego during a live recording of the SmartLess podcast. He described the small town as amazing and praised his neighbors for treating him like a regular person rather than a celebrity. “My neighbor is one of my great friends, Dr Sean, he never asked,” he said.
Despite his move, Hill still has fond memories of growing up in Los Angeles during the 1990s. “LA was such a cool place to grow up because you could go skateboard downtown or sneak into a movie premiere,” he shared.
Hill has also been busy with his career, recently making a long-awaited comeback in the dark comedy film Outcome. The film, which he directed, co-wrote, and stars in, features Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, and Matt Bomer. Hill praised the cast, especially Cameron Diaz, whom he called “an actual angel that fell from heaven.”
He also highlighted Keanu Reeves, saying, “I just love [Keanu]. I love My Own Private Idaho and Parenthood and everything since.” The film debuted on Apple+ TV on April 10.
In addition to Outcome, Hill is set to star in and direct the sartorial comedy Cut Off, which follows two wealthy siblings forced to act their age when their parents cut them off financially.
