New Presenting Line-Up for Strictly Come Dancing Makes Debut Appearance
The new presenting line-up for Strictly Come Dancing made their first public appearance as a trio at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Friday. Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe, who were recently announced as the new hosts of the popular BBC dancing competition, were all smiles during their visit to the London garden event.
Willis, dressed in a white waistcoat and matching trousers, was seen beaming and posing for photographs alongside her co-hosts, comedian Widdicombe and professional dancer Radebe. Widdicombe was pictured in a long-sleeved shirt and black trousers, despite the warm weather, while Radebe wore a distinctive see-through black top with red flowers, paired with green flared trousers.
One image captured Radebe lifting Widdicombe, with Willis gesturing beside them. Comedian Widdicombe later shared photos from the day on his Instagram account, writing: “Lovely day out at Chelsea Flower Show with my two pals.”
Transition from Previous Hosts
The new line-up will take over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who announced their departure from the programme in October 2025.
Emma Willis has hosted various shows, including Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother, and Love Is Blind UK. Josh Widdicombe previously competed on the show in a festive special and currently hosts the podcast Parenting Hell alongside comedian Rob Beckett. Johannes Radebe joined the programme as a professional dancer in 2018 and is currently starring in the West End musical Kinky Boots.
The trio were also seen expressing their excitement for their new roles at a photoshoot for the BBC dancing competition, in a behind-the-scenes video posted to Strictly Come Dancing’s Instagram on Friday. During the clip, the stars were having their make-up applied and posing for the photos that were released on Tuesday alongside the announcement that they were set to host the flagship entertainment programme.
Radebe said it was “a bit surreal” that he “made the cut” for the highly sought-after presenting role. Willis, who was wearing rollers in her hair, a striped cardigan, and jeans in the video, was seen joking with her new co-stars as she sang the theme song to Strictly.
In an additional glimpse at the new hosts, Radebe was seen twirling his co-stars around and teaching them his dancing moves, while The Last Leg star Widdicombe joked about being out of time.
