The disappearance of Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has captured the attention of the internet. It has been over a week since the former glamour model last had contact with her fourth husband, who convinced her that he had been “kidnapped” in Dubai, shortly after so-called visa issues prevented him from leaving the country to be with her in the UK.
Katie, 48, has been deeply worried, liaising with police in the UAE and still desperately hoping for his return—despite him having gone silent. Meanwhile, her family is said to be “thrilled” by Lee’s vanishing act and “relieved” that he never met her children or became properly embedded in her life, having had suspicions about him for months.
It’s been a whirlwind time, that’s for sure… even by Katie Price standards. So, let’s retrace our steps and review everything we know about Lee’s “kidnapping” saga.

May 12: Lee ditches Good Morning Britain
On Tuesday, May 12, Lee was due to appear alongside Katie on Good Morning Britain for their first joint interview. She was already in England, and he had claimed he was joining her. He did not materialise, though, leaving Katie to face Susanna Reid and Ed Balls’ questions solo.
During the ITV interview, she denied early morning reports that a man detained at the airport in Dubai was Lee, saying she had just spoken to him, and he laughed off the rumours. Katie further claimed that Lee “missed his flight” due to business-related issues, insisting he was “on his way.”

Lee took to Instagram himself later that day in what became his final post, sharing a video allegedly from the airport in Muscat, Oman, explaining that he had “a couple of things on,” preventing him from flying. The self-proclaimed millionaire added that he “couldn’t wait” to see his wife, who had quipped on TV that he is “unreliable.”
However, in the following hours, eagle-eyed fans started to doubt his whereabouts, noticing that he was not in Muscat at all due to the background of his video resembling Dubai’s airport instead. People also suggested he hadn’t gone through security yet and was standing in a communal area in front of the check-in desk.
May 13: Lee’s ex makes a bombshell revelation

Just one day later, Lee’s outspoken ex, Alana Percival, revealed that he pulled the same airport stunt on her a year ago. Taking to Instagram, the personal trainer, to whom Lee proposed shortly before he did to Katie, shared screenshots of his WhatsApp messages from last May. In the messages, she said he was “pretending” to be flying to her, holding up his bags and wallet at the airport.
He also sent her a video, saying he was getting “in line” at Terminal 2 for Oman Air and that he had been “in the business section.” “Wearing his cap so facial recognition doesn’t get him. Hahaha. More lies, lies and more lies. Delusional is an understatement,” Alana’s caption read. While Lee has denied being a scammer, Alana has been urging Katie to “run for the hills” for months, branding Lee a “narcissist” and a “swindler.”
May 14: Katie demands answers

Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie told her sister, Sophie, that Lee had made her look “like a d**k.” She said she “wants answers” on whether he can fly, while Sophie did not mince her words, telling Katie firmly she had been “mugged off” and “deserves better.” Explaining that Lee had now apparently had “visa issues,” Katie replied that all the attention surrounding their marriage had made it into a “soap opera.”
“I’ve said to him, he needs to make it to the UK because if he doesn’t, then there’s obviously something not right going on. If he does make it to England, it’ll shut all the rumours up.” Later in the podcast, she stated that she wouldn’t be jetting to Dubai again, as she needed to work and care for her family, essentially giving Lee the ultimatum that if he wanted to see her, he’d have to make the trip.
Katie removes her wedding ring
Internet sleuths then noticed that Katie wasn’t wearing her ring in her latest social posts. She also stepped out with son Harvey with a bare ring finger. However, she continued reposting relationship quotes and videos on her Insta Story, tagging Lee.
Lee “steps back” from social media

Later in the day, Katie shared a statement, informing her followers that Lee was having time off socials. “Due to all the madness of trolling, people’s speculation and media frenzy that as a married couple we have both decided @wesleeandrews is taking a break from social media and we are keeping things between us for now as it’s our life and marriage and are very happy [sic],” it read. Lee did not post anything on his own account.
May 16: Katie confesses her kidnapping fears

In a shocking YouTube video, Katie revealed the truth – Lee was not on a social media detox, he was actually “missing.” After not hearing from him for three days despite typically being in “constant contact,” she began panicking, explaining how his location disappeared on his phone on Wednesday night, and none of her messages had been delivered since 10pm. She stressed that “something really, really serious has happened,” debating flying back to Dubai herself to liaise with CID.
“I’ve had the head of CID in Dubai trying to track Lee. So far, I got a message this morning saying that no one can find anywhere in the country where Lee has been detained. They just can’t find it anywhere,” she said. “We’re now wondering, as far-fetched as it is… well, he’s definitely a missing person now. I don’t know if he’s been kidnapped. I don’t know what’s going on.”
Katie also recalled how, during their final FaceTime, Lee was “tied up” in an “old van” with mesh windows, his hood up and panicking that “they are coming back for me.”
May 17: Lee is officially a missing person

On May 17, Lee’s relatives filed a missing persons report. As reported by The Sun, an official report has been lodged by his family at the British Embassy in Dubai, where Lee has lived for 21 years. A source also claimed that it was “such a worrying, upsetting situation.”
May 18: Lee’s whereabouts are “exposed”
In a stunning turn of events, Lee’s whereabouts were seemingly revealed by The Sun, who reported that he was “frantically planning a route out of this ginormous hole he appears to have buried himself in.” They added that he was “squatting in a slightly run-down villa” and using a burner phone to reach out to a handful of trusted contacts. What’s more, Lee was said to be wanted by Interpol after Herts police escalated an investigation involving claims from one of his exes.
Katie addresses ransom rumours
In her own update, Katie said that she still had not heard from Lee, responding to suggestions that a ransom could be demanded. Pleading with fans to keep their eyes peeled for him, she said she had spent the last 24 hours on the phone with lawyers.
“Like I’ve said before, the police have come back, and they can’t find him anywhere,” Katie continued. “I know I said the other day, ‘Has he been kidnapped?’ or a ransom or something, but again, no one’s come to me. If it was a ransom, no one has come to me, and I know Dubai is a safe place. I feel safe there; you don’t hear about crimes.”
After a “really distressing” five days, she continued re-reading their text exchanges for clues.
May 19: Katie denies any involvement

Katie proceeded to hit back at claims that Lee’s disappearance was one big publicity stunt. “I’m really upset everyone thinks I’m in on this. Are you guys actually joking?” she said in a video, now with her ring back on. “This is not a publicity stunt. This is real. And anyone who thinks that I’m part of this is disgusting.”
“I’m now relying on the media to help me put out there that Lee is missing. If someone knows where he is, then please come to me or come to the newspapers, and we can find him,” she begged.
Lee’s final text revealed

In his last texts to his wife, Lee reportedly said he had been arrested near a “black site,” which is a covert government detention centre. The messages were allegedly sent between 12.36am and 1:01am local time in Dubai last Thursday. In them, he simply wrote: “Been arrested. I’ll be in touch. I’m ok xx.”
Replying within five minutes, Katie asked: “Where? Why? I’m worried,” telling Lee that she loved him. Responding, Lee said he didn’t know where he was, as his “other phone” had been taken. Katie then asked how she would be able to contact her man and whether she should have “his dad’s number.”
With friends claiming Katie began to “spiral” after this, Lee shared his live location with her and told her to contact the British embassy. His location ended with the message, “Keep that on babe. Love you.”
May 20: Lee active online
Despite still being AWOL, Lee appeared to be using social media. Luisa Zissman (known for The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother) travelled to Dubai to see if she could get to the bottom of the mystery, documenting her trip online. Although she had little success, she did claim that Lee had been seen on Facebook Messenger by members of the Brits in Dubai Facebook group.
May 21: Katie’s family breathes sigh of relief

While Katie remained in anguish, her family was anything but. In fact, they’ve been more than happy to see the back of him, with an insider telling The Sun: “Katie’s family are absolutely thrilled Lee has disappeared without a trace and hopes it stays that way. They are especially relieved that he never made it to the UK to meet her children or embed himself into her home and life. They are counting their lucky stars and all their dreams have come true.”
The source added that, sadly, Katie had to “find out the hard way” what Lee is really like, having tried and failed to warn her numerous times already. She “wouldn’t be told.”
“There’s nothing more I can do”
Offering an update to her podcast listeners, Katie had accepted that she had played her part in attempting to find Lee. “There’s nothing more for me to say, aside from the police are now handling it. The British police, the British consulate, the Foreign Office, and Interpol,” she said. “They are all on the case now, looking for Lee, and a lot of people didn’t think this was serious; they still don’t think it is serious, so I have decided, from today, there is absolutely nothing more I can do, nothing more I can say, and now the police are dealing with it. I’m just leaving it to the police.”
Reiterating that she was still upset, Katie placed her trust in the authorities, vowing to carry on with her life in the meantime.
May 22: Lee reaches out to “biker babe”

This time, Lee’s social media scrolling became public, as he brazenly followed another woman. Named Mari Sol, she became the second person in Lee’s “following” list on Instagram, as he previously only followed Katie. It’s claimed that the self-proclaimed American biker babe had used an online matchmaking service for millionaires.
Sources claimed that Katie was “beyond furious” with how things are “unravelling,” sharing that “those close to her have warned it’s all an elaborate sham, but Katie genuinely loves Lee.” “She was so worried and does hold out some hope he is going to reappear. Now she’s seen him following this woman; to say she was angry and confused is an understatement.”
Katie’s pal called it “disgusting” to see him “chasing other women” after telling Katie he had been “bundled into a van” with his hands tied. They also had a warning for the new woman, urging her to “get out fast” if she is connected to Lee.
May 23: Lee’s dad reveals his “arrest” – but Katie denies it

In the latest twist, Lee’s father, Peter, claimed he had been informed by his son that he was arrested by authorities in the UAE, although the charge has not been confirmed. He said his son was “OK,” denying he had been abducted. “He has not been kidnapped, but he is under arrest. I don’t know on what charge,” he told the Daily Mail. “I’m not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today. He is not at my house.” Lee had been living with Peter in Dubai before he met Katie.
A police source also reportedly told the publication: “Lee Andrews has been arrested.” However, mere hours later, Katie took to her Story, slamming the update as “fake news” and writing that Lee is “still missing.”
May 24: Lee’s phone is “back on”
After days of not receiving messages, Lee’s phone was reportedly turned back on. A source told The Sun: “I had been messaging Lee and was getting no response. But on Sunday morning, my messages had gone from a single tick to a double – so that device is back on and being used.” They added that he “has multiple phones, but this is the one that is being used now.”
This same day, “biker babe” Mari Sol seemingly “blocked” Lee on Insta, as she no longer appears in his “following” list, having insisted she had no knowledge of his muddy background.
