Wanderers re-sign homegrown talent for 2 years

Homegrown product Jarrod Carluccio has signed a new two-year deal with Western Sydney Wanderers.

Carluccio, 25, came through the Wanderers academy and made his A-League debut for the club as a 19-year-old in March 2020.

He joined Perth Glory in September 2023 before returning to Western Sydney in January last year.

“I’m incredibly proud to extend my time with the Wanderers,” said the Blacktown Spartans junior, who has made 50 senior appearances in all competitions for Western Sydney.

“This club has been a huge part of my life for a long time and to represent Western Sydney is something I never take for granted.

“Coming through the academy and earning the opportunity to play for the first team has been a special journey.

“Every season I’ve continued to learn and develop, and I feel like I’m in a great position to keep contributing to the team.

“No matter the adversity that we face at this football club. It is always personal putting this jersey on. I will always represent my teammates, our members and our fans with respect and fight for this club and future success.”

Wanderers football director Mal Impiombato said right-back Carluccio was the “type of player” Western Sydney wanted in the club’s bid to bounce back from a disastrous 2025-26 campaign that culminated with a wooden spoon.

“He’s a product of our academy, he understands what it means to represent Western Sydney and he’s built a strong connection with our members and fans,” Impiombato said.

“His journey has been one of resilience and growth. The experiences he’s had throughout his career have helped shaped him into an important member of our squad.

“Having homegrown players who are proud to wear the red and black is a big part of our identity, and we’re delighted that Jarrod will continue that journey with the Wanderers.”
