Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of the REDMI K90 Max, set to take place on April 21 at 7:00 PM. This new device is positioned as a gaming-centric flagship, specifically tailored for users seeking high-performance capabilities for competitive mobile gaming. The announcement emphasizes speed, responsiveness, and extended gaming sessions as key selling points.
E-Sports Touchscreen Technology
The standout feature of the REDMI K90 Max is its innovative e-sports touchscreen. It offers a 480Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate and an impressive 3500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. This means the screen responds almost instantly to user input, which is crucial for fast-paced games such as shooters. Additionally, the phone includes a 400Hz six-axis gyroscope to enhance motion control. Xiaomi has also stated that the display has undergone testing for up to one million continuous touches, ensuring both durability and performance.
Display and Gaming Experience
The REDMI K90 Max comes with a large 6.83-inch display featuring a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits. It can run games at native 165FPS while maintaining HD graphics quality. This combination is still uncommon in smartphones and provides a smoother and more detailed gaming experience. Xiaomi has confirmed support for this feature in popular titles like Delta Force.

Cooling and Durability
To ensure optimal performance during long gaming sessions, the REDMI K90 Max includes a built-in cooling fan, a first for Xiaomi phones. This system uses a sealed air duct and a metal structure to maintain stable temperatures. The device is also highly durable, with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, along with a 50,000-hour aging test. The cooling fan is designed for longevity, offering a 6-year warranty and lifetime maintenance support.
Comparison with Other Gaming Phones
When compared to other devices in the same category, most gaming phones offer high touch sampling rates, typically ranging from 720Hz to 2000Hz. However, very few combine such a high instantaneous sampling rate with advanced gyroscope performance. While brands like ASUS ROG and iQOO focus on triggers and high-refresh displays, the REDMI K90 Max prioritizes touch accuracy and responsiveness. This could provide a significant advantage for competitive gamers who rely on quick and precise inputs.
