Two of the most anticipated smartphones in the Indian market, the Vivo X300 Ultra and the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, are generating a lot of excitement. These devices are being positioned as strong contenders in the camera-focused smartphone segment. Early leaks have already provided some insight into their features, particularly their imaging capabilities. According to a tipster, the Chinese brand Vivo is expected to launch the X300 Ultra in India on May 7, possibly alongside the Vivo X300 FE. Here’s everything we know so far about these upcoming models.
Vivo X300 Ultra: Specifications and Camera Features
Vivo seems to be focusing heavily on both performance and photography with the X300 Ultra. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 2160Hz PWM dimming for enhanced visual quality.
Under the hood, the device is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It may come with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone could run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6, along with Vivo’s Ice Pulse Fluid VC cooling system to manage heat during intensive tasks.
In terms of photography, the X300 Ultra is rumored to feature a 200-megapixel Sony LYTIA 901 primary sensor, paired with a 200-megapixel Samsung HP0 telephoto lens that includes gimbal-like stabilization. There’s also a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, making it a strong choice for photography enthusiasts.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra: Camera and Specifications
On the other hand, Oppo has started teasing its upcoming flagship model, the Find X9 Ultra. The device is confirmed to launch in China on April 21, and the brand has shared key camera details through its official Weibo account.
The Find X9 Ultra is expected to have a 200-megapixel primary sensor with a nearly 1-inch size, combined with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom. It may also include a secondary 50-megapixel telephoto camera capable of 10x optical zoom.
Additional cameras include a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 50-megapixel front camera. There’s also a dedicated 3.2-megapixel colour sensor to enhance color accuracy. According to a China Telecom listing, the phone could feature a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 3168 × 1440 and run on the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Launch Dates and Expected Prices in India
According to a tipster, Vivo is set to launch the X300 Ultra in India on May 7, with sales expected to begin on May 14. The price is likely to start around Rs 1,39,999. Meanwhile, Oppo is expected to introduce the Find X9 Ultra in China on April 21, with an India launch anticipated shortly after, possibly between mid to late May. The pricing for the Find X9 Ultra could fall between Rs 1,25,999 and Rs 1,49,000.
