“What better way to celebrate than the Centennial and Route 66’s 100th anniversary? So we’re drawing inspiration from its iconic name, the Mother Road. The winner ultimately gets a one-week road trip across Route 66 to really explore the iconic stops along the route,” said Shiwdin.

According to the company, submissions will be judged based on creativity, authenticity, and the ability of the grandparent-grandchild duo to capture the essence of Route 66. In the final round of judging, both the grandchild and grandparent will be required to attend an interview.
“We’re looking for people who are real, authentic travelers who ultimately have a strong family emotional connection with the grandchild and grandparent. People who are excited to get on the road and share the amazing attractions and road stops along the way of Route 66 have to be at least 18 years old, and a driver has to be 21 or older with a valid license,” added Shiwdin.
