Governor’s Commitment to Women’s Welfare and Empowerment
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to policies that focus on the welfare, safety, and empowerment of women. This commitment was highlighted in a message delivered by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Patrick Ebojele, on the occasion of Mother’s Day celebrated by the Catholic denomination.
Okpebholo expressed his belief that sustainable development is deeply connected to the well-being of mothers and families. He added, “We recognise the strength of mothers navigating economic and social challenges. Their perseverance remains a stabilising force within our homes and society. I urge all of us to honour our mothers not only through words, but through meaningful actions, including care, support, and sustained engagement.”
