Champagne Supernova: The Gallaghers Conquer the 2026 Rich List

The power of a bucket hat, a parker and 90s nostalgia is undeniable. Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher have once again proven their influence, as they made it to the annual Rich List by The Sunday Times.

The musical brothers, known for their iconic style and legendary clashes, reunited after 15 years for a record-breaking UK-wide Oasis tour in July. The event saw over 10 million fans from 158 countries lining up online to secure tickets. Despite their well-documented history of falling out, this reunion has clearly paid off financially. According to The Sunday Times, Noel and Liam Gallagher have a combined net worth of £375m, placing them at number 11 on the list of the richest people in UK music.

Their earnings from the tour were substantial, with over £50m coming from ticket and merchandise sales. The tour, which featured 41 dates across 17 cities, reportedly generated over £297m, according to trade magazine Pollstar.

Higher up on the list are Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis and her family, who are ranked at number 10 with £400m. Ed Sheeran follows closely with £410m, while Rolling Stones members Keith Richards and Sir Mick Jagger both have £450m. Sir Elton John has £480m, and Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber is valued at £516m.

Sir Paul and Lady Nancy McCartney come in fourth with £1.055bn, followed by theatre producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh at £1.4bn. At the top of the list are record executive Clive Calder with £3.25bn and Warner Music Group owner Sir Leonard Blavatnik, who tops the list with £26.9bn.

Oasis’s tour last year broke records, becoming the biggest sale in Ticketmaster history. However, the event was not without controversy. Many fans were outraged after paying more than double the face value of tickets, leading to accusations that Ticketmaster used dynamic pricing, where prices fluctuate based on demand.

As a result, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigated Ticketmaster, leading the company to commit to making changes that will provide fans with more information before and during ticket purchases.

“Fans who spend their hard-earned money to see artists they love deserve to see clear, accurate information, upfront,” said Sarah Cardell, chief executive of the CMA, in September. “We can’t ensure every fan gets a ticket for events as popular as the Oasis tour, but we can help ensure that next time an event like this comes along, fans have the information they need, when they need it.”

Those who missed out on tickets for the tour will have another chance to witness the brothers’ reunion on the big screen. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is directing a documentary about the tour. Teasing the upcoming film, he said: “It’s phenomenal. It’s a documentary with a plot – do you know what I mean? It’s actually got a story… it’s been great, [the band have] been great, they’re fantastic to work with.”
