A Love Story in the Spotlight
Delta Goodrem, a household name in Australia and beyond, has always been in the public eye. From her iconic hits like Predictable, Innocent Eyes, and Mistaken Identity, she’s built a career that spans decades. However, one aspect of her life has remained relatively private: her love life. That changed in June 2025 when Delta and her longtime partner, Matthew Copley, tied the knot, sparking widespread interest in their relationship.
Now, as Delta prepares for her performance at the 2026 Eurovision Grand Final, fans are curious about Matthew, who remains largely out of the spotlight. Despite this, their relationship has been a source of inspiration, with their shared passion for music and mutual support playing a key role in their bond.

How Did Delta and Matthew Meet?
While Delta has kept many details of her personal life private, she did reveal to The Australian Women’s Weekly in 2023 that Matthew is her guitarist and that they met through music. “He’s my guitarist, I met him through music. It’s incredible to be on stage with him because he’s so talented,” she said. “We really are a team. He’s my best friend, he’s kind and just a beautiful human being.”
Despite her openness about their professional collaboration, Delta has always valued her privacy. “I’ve always been so understanding that I’ve lived in the public eye since I was a teenager, but also I think it’s nice to keep some things to yourself,” she added.

A Long and Loving Relationship
Delta and Matthew started dating in 2017, but they didn’t go public with their relationship until 2018. Their engagement came in September 2023, and they married on June 16, 2025, at the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina, Malta. The wedding reception took place at the luxurious Palazzo Parisio, marking a special occasion for the couple.

Who Is Matthew Copley?
Matthew Copley is more than just Delta’s husband—he’s a musician, songwriter, and producer. He also serves as the Vice President of ATLED RECORDS, the label Delta launched in 2023 after leaving Sony Music. Before joining Delta, Matthew was part of the band Sons of Midnight with Conrad Sewell. The band released their self-titled album in 2012 and toured alongside acts like Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne.
Today, Matthew primarily works as Delta’s guitarist, and the two perform together regularly. Their chemistry on stage is undeniable, and fans often get a glimpse of their intimate moments through social media posts.
