Howard Stern, the renowned radio personality, has found a new lease of life with his recent contract extension with SiriusXM. His wife, Beth Stern, shared her insights on how he is adapting to this change, especially after previous allegations about a hostile work environment.
“I think his new schedule is working out really well for him. I think he’s very happy with it,” Beth, 53, mentioned during a Wednesday, May 13, appearance on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live.” She highlighted that the new arrangement has been beneficial for Howard, who has been in the media industry for decades.

Beth, who has been married to the media personality since 2008, played a significant role in negotiating the deal. She explained why she believes it is important for Howard to continue his career on the air. “I feel that it’s very good for him to continue [with SiriusXM]. He still enjoys doing it. He’s still, I think, very good at it. I think it keeps him connected,” she said. According to Beth, the show serves as an outlet for Howard to express his opinions and stay engaged with his audience.

Stern, 72, announced in December 2025 that he would be on the air for at least three more years after signing a new contract with SiriusXM. Fans were initially worried about the future of the digital creator’s show, as his $500 million SiriusXM contract was set to end that year. “I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all. More free time and continuing to be on the radio. Yes, we are coming back for three years,” he shared with fans on “The Howard Stern Show” that month.

Stern also joked about how he managed to keep his latest career move under wraps and revealed the news to his listeners himself. “You know why there are no leaks? Because I didn’t know anything until the weekend — whether I was staying or going,” he admitted. “I’m old as f—. I’m not supposed to be working … Where do I begin with this? Some of the staff said, ‘Can we come in and guess?’ People working here are hoping I stay.”

Despite the renewed contract, Howard and Beth face a lawsuit from Leslie Kuhn, their former assistant, who filed a case in April. She accused the couple of creating a “hostile work environment” and an improper firing. In response, Stern and his wife filed a motion to dismiss the legal suit, calling her complaint a “thinly veiled attempted shakedown.”
This situation highlights the ongoing challenges that come with high-profile careers, even as they continue to thrive in the public eye. The couple remains focused on their work and the future of their partnership, both professionally and personally.
