Hollywood star shocked by woman ‘eating his face for 80 days’

Glen Powell has shared an unusual story about a fan who took her admiration for the actor to an extreme. The star of Anyone But You and Twisters is no stranger to the attention of his fans, but he never expected one fan to go as far as eating photos of his face for 80 days straight.

During a discussion at The Hollywood Reporter Comedy Actor Roundtable, Glen recounted the bizarre incident involving a super fan. When asked about the weirdest fan reaction he had ever experienced, Glen shared a tale that left his fellow panelists in shock. He spoke about a woman on TikTok who had gained notoriety for her unique approach to showing support for him.

According to Glen, the fan would print out images of his face and eat them every day for 80 consecutive days. “Literally, she would eat my face until I gave her a role in a movie,” he said. The fan, who goes by the handle @mynameismonique, became a talking point among fans and media alike.

Although Monique did not manage to land a role in any of Glen’s films, she eventually stopped eating his face after attending the premiere of Running Man in November 2025. In a video from the event, Glen can be seen smiling as she takes a bite of a printed photo of his face.

However, Glen admitted that he was initially unaware of the situation. “I didn’t know this was a thing until it was described to me while I was on the red carpet,” he explained. His co-panelists were equally surprised when they told him about the fan. “They’re like, ‘Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet.’ I go, ‘What are you talking about?’”

The story sparked reactions from other actors on the panel. Scrubs star Zach Braff was particularly horrified by the idea of a fan having access to the red carpet. “How did she get red carpet access?” he asked. Glen agreed, adding, “That’s what I was like… come on, this is a real liability.”

The roundtable also featured other unusual fan encounters. Star Wars actor Harrison Ford shared a story about a fan who loudly announced in an airport: “My mother wants to sleep with you.” Meanwhile, Riz Ahmed, who recently starred in Amazon Prime’s Bait, recounted a moment when a fan asked him to sign something and then chased him down the street yelling, “That’s not your signature!”

These stories highlight just how unpredictable and sometimes bizarre the relationship between celebrities and their fans can be. While most interactions are positive, some moments leave even the most seasoned stars scratching their heads.
