Is Ronda Rousey Married? All About Her Spouse and Children

Ronda Rousey’s Romantic Life and Relationships

Ronda Rousey, a name synonymous with combat sports, has had a career that spans over two decades. Starting as an Olympic judoka, she transitioned into the UFC, where she became a dominant force. However, her journey hasn’t been without challenges, particularly in her personal life. Her romantic history has often been under the spotlight, with several relationships and a marriage to former UFC fighter Travis Browne.

Marriage to Travis Browne

Rousey married Travis Browne in April 2017, just under two years after they began dating. Their relationship, however, was not without its controversies. In July 2015, Browne’s previous wife posted images on Instagram showing bruises across her body, alleging that the injuries were caused by Browne. This led to an investigation by the UFC, which found “inconclusive evidence” of domestic violence. Despite this, Browne was reinstated into the UFC. The couple eventually divorced in February 2016.

Browne and Rousey have two children together: eldest daughter La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō, born in 2021, and youngest daughter Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha, born in 2025. Browne also has two sons from a previous marriage.

Previous Relationships

Rousey’s dating history includes several high-profile relationships. One notable relationship was with former MMA fighter Timothy DiGorrio. In her autobiography, “My Fight/Your Fight,” Rousey recounted a physical confrontation with an ex-boyfriend, whom she referred to as Snapper McCreepy. She described an incident where her ex-boyfriend threatened to release nude photos of her without her consent. Rousey took matters into her own hands, deleting the photos and erasing the hard drive before confronting him. The encounter ended with her physically assaulting him, as detailed in the book.

Another significant relationship was with former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub. Rousey claimed that Schaub played “f-up mind games” during their relationship, suggesting he didn’t want to be seen as her boyfriend. In her book “Our Fight: A Memoir,” Rousey described how she enjoyed seeing her then-boyfriend defeat Schaub in a fight. She recalled the moment when Travis Browne knocked out Schaub in the first round, finding it highly gratifying.

Schaub, on the other hand, was not complimentary about Rousey. He told Joe Rogan that he felt he was “too much of a man” for her, stating that she needed someone who would “take a backseat.” He also mentioned that Rousey was surrounded by people who worshipped her and agreed with her, but when he disagreed, he was labeled a “hater.”

Personal Life and Public Perception

Despite the challenges in her personal life, Rousey has remained a prominent figure in the world of combat sports. Her journey from Olympic judoka to UFC champion has been well-documented, and her personal relationships have often been scrutinized by the media. While her marriage to Travis Browne has provided her with a family, it has also brought attention to past controversies.

Rousey’s story is one of resilience and determination, both in her professional career and personal life. As she continues to navigate the complexities of fame and relationships, her journey remains a topic of interest for fans and followers alike.
