A Mysterious Sighting in the Sky
A woman has captured the attention of millions after sharing a strange moment she experienced while flying, leaving many viewers puzzled about what she saw outside her plane window. The incident was recorded in a TikTok video posted on May 14 by user @summerkmorgan. In the clip, the woman is seated on a flight, gazing out into a clear blue sky. What caught her eye, however, was an unusual object that she couldn’t explain—a small, dark, linear cloud-like shape appearing to float motionlessly in the distance.
The object stands out sharply against the bright sky, especially as there are no other clouds visible around it. Its stillness and unusual shape prompted the woman to question what exactly she was seeing.
“Can anyone who is smart explain to me what this floating thing is in the sky on my flight… (there is not a single other cloud in the sky???)” she wrote in the video.
The caption accompanying the clip adds to the sense of urgency and confusion, reading simply: “WHAT IS THAT,” the poster wrote.
The short video quickly captured the attention of users online. Within a short time of being posted, it began circulating widely across the platform, drawing in millions of viewers who were intrigued by the unexplained sight.
So far, the clip has amassed more than 5.1 million views on TikTok, along with 191,500 likes, as well as thousands of comments discussing what it could be.
While most users on the platform joked about it being a witch flying on a broomstick, like Jessý, who wrote: “Looked this up, and it’s Alix on a broomstick;” other users tried to give more reasonable explanations.
One user, Markolguin145, commented: “Not to interrupt the obsession with Alix on her travel vehicle and plans but, it looks like condensation trails from an aircraft traveling away from you.”
Breadykrueger said: “Soooo confused about Alix and broomsticks but it’s a murmuration of starlings. Invasive bird species that fly in huge flocks usually 500-a few thousand but they have been recorded in numbers high as 6 million.”
The flying object still remains a mystery, despite other users sharing pictures of very similar sightings while flying on different planes.
