Zara Tindall Stands Firm as Princess Anne’s Health Crisis Unveiled

Princess Anne’s Unyielding Work Ethic and the Growing Concern from Her Daughter

Princess Anne, often regarded as the hardest-working member of the British royal family, has long held a reputation for her relentless schedule. For years, she topped the “hardest working royal” list, only to be surpassed by her brother, King Charles, last year. Now in her eighth decade, the 75-year-old royal continues to carry out three to five official engagements daily, rarely taking time off. However, not everyone is impressed with her work ethic.

Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, is reportedly so concerned about her mother’s demanding lifestyle that she has decided to take action. Royal sources have shared with Woman’s Day that Zara is “putting her foot down” in an effort to encourage Anne to slow down. According to these sources, Zara keeps reminding her mother that there’s no need to fill her diary every day at her age.

Despite this, Anne remains steadfast in her belief that she will work until she is physically unable to do so—just like her late mother, Queen Elizabeth. The princess has always been known for her no-nonsense attitude and dedication to her duties.

Daughterly Concern and Family Health Scare

Zara’s concern stems from witnessing the struggles of her husband, Mike Tindall, who is currently dealing with the effects of Parkinson’s disease on his father, Philip. Last week, Mike shared a heartbreaking update on his father’s condition, stating he is “not doing great at the moment.” In an interview with Hello!, Mike revealed that two decades of battling the disease had taken a significant toll on his father, who worked as a banker before his diagnosis in 2002.

“Parkinson’s is brutal and there is no let-up from how it attacks the body and changes people,” Mike admitted. “It has quite honestly left him a shell of what he once was.”

According to royal sources, while Mike could not have done anything to halt the progression of the disease, he still feels a sense of regret for not being able to help his father remain fit and healthy. This experience has deeply affected Zara, prompting her to become even more determined to ensure her own parents maintain their health.

“She’s been supporting him through the tears and the worry, but it’s also made her look at her own mum and dad with more caution,” a source said.

Pushing Back Against the Royal Schedule

Since September, Princess Anne has been on four royal trips, and this week she is set to travel to Greece for a three-day visit. During this trip, she will participate in international ceremonies commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete, as announced by Buckingham Palace.

Zara hopes this opportunity will allow Anne to take some time off and rejuvenate herself in the Grecian sun. After Anne’s accident in 2024, Zara is hoping her mother can enjoy some much-needed respite. The air and sea are said to be incredibly reviving, and Zara and her brother, Peter, are grateful for their mother’s remarkable stamina.

However, seeing Mike’s heartbreak over his father has made Zara more determined than ever to push back against the royal schedule and insist her mother takes a break. She has Mike’s full support, and the situation has brought them closer than ever.

“Zara’s the only one who can cheer him up if he dwells too long on his dad, and he’s the only person who understands the worry she has for her own mum,” a source added.

Additional Concerns from a Centenarian Veteran

Zara isn’t the only one concerned about Anne’s heavy workload. Last week, a centenarian D-Day veteran who attended the Buckingham Palace garden party offered the princess some unsolicited advice. Robert Piper, 100, joked after meeting the royal: “I said to her, you know, she’s got to slow down.”
