‘So proud’ – Ariana Grande celebrates brother Frankie’s Tony Awards triumph

Ariana Grande and Frankie Grande Shine in the Spotlight

Ariana Grande is currently experiencing a wave of pride as her brother, Frankie Grande, has made history with his first Tony Awards nomination. This moment marks a significant career milestone for Frankie, who is celebrating the recognition for his work on the musical ‘Titanique’. As Ariana prepares for her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour, both siblings are enjoying their own moments of success, offering fans a reason to celebrate.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on June 8, Frankie shared how Ariana has been a strong supporter since the nomination was announced. He mentioned that she has been constantly texting him, expressing her pride and admiration. Even during the opening night of her tour, Ariana’s focus remained on her brother’s achievement. Frankie humorously noted that whenever he tried to congratulate her, she quickly redirected the conversation back to his Tony milestone.

“My sister’s reaction was like, yes absolutely. She was just so proud of me you know I still am getting texts from her. She opened our tour last night and all she wants to… I keep asking her questions and all she wanted to talk about [was] the Tonys,” Frankie shared.

A Milestone for Frankie Grande

Frankie’s journey to the Tony Awards has been a proud one. The musical ‘Titanique’ received a Best Musical nomination at the 79th Annual Tony Awards. Additionally, it earned nods for Best Book of a Musical, Best Leading Actress in a Musical, and Best Featured Actor in a Musical. This achievement marked a significant moment for Frankie, who walked the red carpet alongside his mother, Joan Grande, who also shared the Best Musical nomination as a co-producer.

This weekend has been a time of celebration for the entire Grande family. While Frankie was basking in the glow of his nomination, Ariana was also making headlines with her return to the stage.

Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour

On June 6, Ariana Grande officially launched the Eternal Sunshine Tour at the Oakland Arena in California. This marks her first arena tour in seven years and is built around the ‘Eternal Sunshine’ era. The opening-night performance featured a 23-song setlist, including hits such as ‘Thank U, Next’, ‘7 Rings’, ‘Into You’, and ‘Dangerous Woman’, along with tracks from the album and its deluxe edition, Brighter Days Ahead.

The ‘Eternal Sunshine’ era has been a landmark for Ariana, helping her become the first female artist with multiple No. 1 debuts from two different albums. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 227,000 equivalent album units, while both ‘Yes, And?’ and ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)’ reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
