New Releases on Stan in July
Stan continues to expand its library of original and exclusive content with a variety of new series and films launching throughout July. From gripping crime dramas to high-stakes reality shows, there’s something for every viewer.
Secret Service – 2 July
Adapted from the novel by journalist and author Tom Bradby, Secret Service follows Kate, a woman who appears to be working an everyday role as a civil servant, alongside her husband. Beneath this facade lies the real Kate: a dedicated MI6 agent and Head of the Russian Desk. With a British election on the horizon, Kate uncovers information suggesting a politician set to become Prime Minister may be a Russian asset. Starring Gemma Arterton and Rafe Spall, this series offers a thrilling blend of espionage and political intrigue.
Canada’s Drag Race All Stars – 10 July
Nine iconic queens return to the runway to battle for the title of ‘Canada’s Ultimate All-Star.’ Brooke Lynn Hytes hosts and judges alongside Priyanka and Jimbo on a historic, all-drag panel. This season promises fierce competition, stunning looks, and unforgettable moments as the queens push their limits to claim the crown.
The Westies – 12 July
Set in early 1980s New York, The Westies is a raw and propulsive new crime drama following the infamously violent Irish gang of the same name. From the co-creator of Narcos and Godfather of Harlem, the series stars JK Simmons, Stanley Morgan, Jessica Frances Dukes, and Titus Welliver. When the construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Centre encroaches on The Westies’ home turf in Hell’s Kitchen, the gang sets their sights on the profits. Despite being vastly outnumbered by the Italian Mafia, the Westies’ legendary brutality allows them to share in the spoils through a fragile détente.
Married At First Sight USA – 13 July
The phenomenon returns in the latest season of Married at First Sight USA, where singles marry strangers in the social experiment of a lifetime. The new season will be the first to be modelled on the successful Australian format, introducing a brand-new panel of experts, as the couples navigate the highs and lows of married life.
All American Season 8 – 14 July
The eighth and final season of All American picks up six months after the football cliffhanger at the end of last season, spanning just one week in the lives of our favourite Beverly and Crenshaw crew. A week that will have them wondering if everything they’ve been through over the course of their lives has prepared them for this moment. A week that will ultimately reunite old with the new, friend with enemy, and alter the course of each of their futures forever.
The F-Ward – 17 July
From the makers of Bump comes the new Stan Original The F Ward, starring Anna Friel, Ioane Sa’ula and Dan Wyllie. This new six-part series follows a group of medical interns sent to the underfunded Pines Hospital in Sydney for one final chance to complete their medical training. Here, they must overcome their insecurities, their past, and their own expectations in a hot-house environment where the stakes are life and death.
