Chelsy Davy Welcomes Third Child: Prince Harry’s Ex Reveals Sweet Name

Chelsy Davy Welcomes Third Child: A New Chapter for Prince Harry’s Ex

Chelsy Davy, the former girlfriend of Prince Harry, has joyfully announced the arrival of her third child. The 40-year-old, who previously navigated a career as a City lawyer, shared the heartwarming news on Instagram this past Mother’s Day, introducing her newborn son, Finn, to the world.

The touching post featured a series of intimate photographs capturing Davy cradling baby Finn, with his two older siblings gazing adoringly at their new brother. In a reflective and heartfelt message, Davy expressed her delight in returning to the “hazy newborn days,” describing them as a “beautiful reminder of just how remarkable mothers are.”

She acknowledged the demanding yet rewarding nature of balancing her growing family with her business ventures. “Running Aya alongside raising Finn, Chloe and Leo is a juggle, but it’s one I’ve chosen,” she stated. Davy went on to celebrate the modern freedom many women possess to “shape our lives in the way that feels right,” whether that encompasses motherhood, a career, creativity, or other aspirations. “This Mother’s Day, I’m embracing the juggle I’ve chosen – and celebrating all of you embracing yours,” she concluded, extending warm Mother’s Day wishes to her followers.

A Growing Family and a Private Life

Chelsy Davy, who dated Prince Harry on-and-off for seven years between 2004 and 2011, welcomed her first child, a son named Leo, in January 2022. Her firstborn arrived with remarkable discretion, with many friends unaware of her pregnancy until after his birth. The news of Leo’s arrival only became public three months later when he was introduced to their local parish council in Norfolk.

In September 2024, Davy again opted for a low-key announcement, revealing the birth of her second child, a daughter believed to be named Chloe.

Davy married Sam Cutmore-Scott, an Eton-educated hotelier, in a private ceremony in 2022. Cutmore-Scott, who was a year ahead of Prince Harry at Eton College, is a successful figure in the hospitality industry. He serves as the managing director of The Harper Hotel in Holt, a family-owned business. The couple is understood to divide their time between a townhouse in Chiswick and their coastal home in Norfolk.

The couple’s union was kept largely under wraps, with a close friend revealing to the press in May 2022, “They are married. Very few people knew about the wedding.”

From Royal Romance to Entrepreneurship

Before finding her husband, Davy’s life was famously intertwined with that of Prince Harry. Their relationship, which began in 2004 during Harry’s gap year travels in Zimbabwe, where Davy’s father owns a game reserve, was a significant chapter in both their lives. The relationship was reportedly serious enough that palace officials noted Harry affectionately referred to Davy as “wifey,” and she reciprocated by calling him “hubby.”

Davy’s integration into the royal sphere was evident when she attended significant events, including the wedding of Harry’s cousin Peter Phillips to Autumn Kelly, where she was introduced to Queen Elizabeth II. She was also present at celebrations for then-Prince Charles’s 60th birthday.

However, the pressures of their demanding careers and Harry’s military service, including deployments to Afghanistan, eventually took their toll. The couple ultimately parted ways in 2010.

Since their split, Davy has largely maintained a private profile. She has since transitioned from her former party-loving image, born in Zimbabwe, to become a successful entrepreneur. She now runs a jewellery and luxury travel business, known as Aya.

In 2020, Davy confirmed she was in a serious relationship, though she remained tight-lipped about her partner’s identity, stating at the time, “There is someone, and I am quite taken by this one, but it’s very new and I don’t want to say too much.” Her last publicly known relationship prior to this was with television producer James Marshall, from whom she separated in 2018.

Chelsy Davy’s journey from a prominent figure in royal circles to a successful businesswoman and devoted mother of three highlights a life lived on her own terms, embracing the choices that bring her fulfillment. Her recent announcement marks another joyous milestone in her personal life, celebrated with the same quiet grace she has cultivated in recent years.
