Angelina Jolie’s 19-Year-Old Daughter Shiloh Lands K-Pop Role Without Nepo Baby Tag

Shiloh Jolie’s Cameo in K-Pop Music Video Sparks Interest

Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh, recently made a surprising appearance in the music video of K-Pop singer Dayoung. The 19-year-old dancer, who is the daughter of Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt, was not cast due to nepotism, but rather through an open audition process.

The teaser for the song “What’s A Girl To Do,” set to release on April 7, features Shiloh performing alongside Dayoung and other dancers. The video producers from Starship Entertainment have since shared a statement confirming that they were unaware of Shiloh’s famous parentage during the casting process.

“We held an open audition in the United States of America to cast performers for Dayoung’s music video. Among those who took part were several performers affiliated with a dance crew called Culture,” the company stated. “Shiloh was selected in the final round and ended up joining Dayoung’s music video. Even after filming, we had no idea she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and only found out by chance quite recently.”

A Significant Personal Decision

This recent development comes nearly two years after Shiloh made a significant decision regarding her name. On her 18th birthday, May 27, 2024, she filed for a name change to drop her father’s last name. The change was publicly announced through a legal notice in the Los Angeles Times.

Her attorney, Peter Levine, explained that Shiloh made an independent and significant decision following painful events. He clarified that she was merely following the legal process when publishing the information.

“As Shiloh’s attorney, I am required to publish a legal notice because the law in California requires that of anyone who wants to change their name. That legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as is required,” he added.

Family Dynamics and Relationships

In addition to Shiloh, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt share sons Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, daughter Zahara, 21, and fraternal twins Vivienne and Knox, 17. It has been reported that Zahara and Vivienne also dropped Pitt from their names, though it is unclear if Vivienne made the change legally.

According to reports, Pitt has ‘virtually no contact’ with his older children. One month after Shiloh filed to drop his last name, a source revealed to People that Pitt’s relationship with his other kids remained strained.

“He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule,” the insider shared at the time.

Conclusion

Shiloh Jolie’s cameo in Dayoung’s music video highlights her growing interest in the entertainment industry. While her famous parents have often been in the spotlight, Shiloh is now making her own mark. Her recent name change and the ongoing family dynamics reflect a complex personal journey, one that continues to unfold in the public eye.
