Josie Gibson lands major TV role as Strictly rumors swirl – Stacey Solomon faces setback

Josie Gibson’s New TV Venture and Exciting Developments

Josie Gibson, the popular presenter of This Morning, is set to take on a new challenge with her upcoming television show. The 41-year-old has landed a major role in a brand-new ITV series called How To Clean Up For Cash. The six-part program is scheduled to air on April 13, 2026, and will follow families who are tricked into clearing out their loved ones’ homes without their knowledge.

The show will see Josie and her team work behind the scenes to determine the value of items that are being cleared out. When the families return home, they will be shocked by the discovery of their belongings being sold for cash. “When the culprits return home to the shock of a lifetime, they face a pivotal decision: do they keep the clutter or take the cash?” states the official press release.

Josie will be joined by collectable expert Dan Hatfield and declutter expert Jacqueline McLeod on the show. The program aims to highlight the hidden value of everyday items while also bringing people together through the process of decluttering.

In an interview, Josie expressed her excitement about the new role. “How To Clean Up For Cash is a show with so much heart. It isn’t just about decluttering, it’s about bringing people together. We’re on the ground, in homes across the country, showing viewers how much their everyday items might be worth.”

The head of development and commissioning editor for factual entertainment at ITV, Kate Teckman, added: “We’ve turned the decluttering genre on its head. Expect mischief, revelations behind the value of everyday items and plenty of jaw-dropping moments. Josie’s infectious humour combined with Dan and Jacqui’s expertise really packs a punch.”

Other Decluttering Shows and Celebrity Involvement

Josie isn’t the only celebrity involved in decluttering shows. Stacey Solomon has been the star of BBC’s Sort Your Life Out since 2021, helping families transform their homes through decluttering and upcycling. However, she recently faced some personal challenges when it was revealed that she is not legally married to Joe Swash, despite their wedding in 2022.

Meanwhile, Josie is reportedly being lined up as the first celebrity contestant for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC is hoping that her “down-to-earth charm” will attract viewers and provide a fresh look for the competition, which is set to kick off in September. Talks between Josie and the BBC are progressing well, and the network is confident that her presence will be a hit.

The BBC is also in the process of replacing long-time hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, although no official details have been released yet. Daily Mail has contacted both Josie and the BBC for comment.

Personal Life and Career Balance

Josie has been open about the challenges of balancing her career with being a working single mother. She shares son Reggie, seven, with her ex-partner and has admitted that she often feels stressed and overwhelmed. “Mums don’t look up to me. I’m juggling, I’m struggling, I’m stressed,” she told Ok! Magazine. “I am just like any other mum out there. It’s all a juggle and it’s all a learning curve.”

She has also mentioned that she is not looking for a full-time position on This Morning, as she wants to focus on being a parent. “I only get to be a mum once and you never get that time back. I need to be down this neck of the woods,” she said, expressing her love for the West Country and her desire to stay close to her roots.

Living Life on Her Own Terms

Despite her successful TV career, Josie has baffled neighbors by choosing to live in a caravan while her home undergoes renovations. Insiders suggest that she is content with a simpler lifestyle and would prefer to live in a caravan forever if needed. However, she still hopes to find a partner who can offer her a stable family life.

Fans had speculated about a potential romance after Josie was seen with social media star Sam Wolfenden, but it was later revealed that he is engaged to his childhood sweetheart. Despite this, Josie remains optimistic about finding love and has often given relationship advice to those going through similar experiences.

Future Projects and Public Interest

Josie is currently documenting the renovation of her home on her show Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build. She has also appeared on various other programs, including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Women, The Jump, Cooking with the Stars, I’m A Celebrity, and The Masked Singer UK.

With her new TV venture and ongoing personal journey, Josie continues to captivate audiences and inspire fans with her authenticity and determination.
