Top Splurge-Worthy Stays to Book in 2026
Travel + Leisure has unveiled its 2026 It List, featuring 100 remarkable properties around the globe. While there’s no single winner, the list is divided into categories such as best city hotels, cruise ships, and “splurge-worthy stays.” These are defined as accommodations that cost more than €1,000 per night, with 19 of the listed properties falling into this category. Here are some of the most luxurious and unique options available for booking this year.
Here, Maldives – from €11,000 a night
The most expensive stay on Travel + Leisure’s It List for 2026 is Here, Maldives, where doubles start at €11,000 per night. This resort bills itself as the “smallest and most exclusive architecturally designed boutique resort” in the Maldives. There are just nine villas, ranging from three to five bedrooms, spread across two private islands named Somewhere and Nowhere.
Everything at Here, Maldives is customised to the guest’s preferences. Activities include snorkeling in the Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve, sunrise yoga sessions, and private dining experiences led by a personal chef who creates custom menus for every meal.
