Kai Trump’s Alarming Health Crisis at the Masters

President Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter, Kai, shared a harrowing experience during her visit to The Masters tournament at the Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia. Known for her passion for golf, Kai is set to join the University of Miami’s team next fall, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, who has long been associated with the sport.

Kai Trump, daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, is active on social media and frequently shares her experiences. During her trip to Augusta, she posted photos of the event but also revealed an unexpected incident that led to emergency medical treatment. In a vlog, she described how using hand soap on her face to remove makeup caused an allergic reaction, resulting in a rash on her neck.

“The rash got worse, so I had to go to the hospital,” she explained. “The doctor gave me a steroid to manage my symptoms. Now, I don’t have a rash anymore, but I had an allergic reaction to the hand soap on my face. I have very sensitive skin, and it was really scary.”

Despite this setback, the rest of her trip went smoothly. The tournament was a success, with Rory McIlroy securing his victory by one shot over Scottie Scheffler. McIlroy completed his career Grand Slam last year at the Masters, adding to his already impressive legacy in the sport.

Kai expressed her excitement about joining the University of Miami’s golf team, stating, “The more golf I play, the better I’ll do. Getting experience. Miami gave me a great opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to that.” This sentiment was shared in an interview with Fox News in July.

Kai recently underwent wrist surgery, which was necessary if she wanted to continue playing golf without pain, according to reports. In January, she shared details about the procedure, explaining that it addressed injuries to the stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and damage to her fibrocartilage complex. “I look forward to my rehab in the coming months. I am excited for the ability to play golf pain free,” she wrote.

Her LPGA debut came at The ANNIKA tournament at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, in November 2025. While her first day was challenging, finishing last place, she improved significantly on the second day, ending with a two-round score of 18-over 158. Her performance highlighted both the challenges and opportunities of competing at a professional level.

As an emerging athlete, Kai continues to navigate the pressures of public life while pursuing her passion for golf. Her journey reflects the dedication required to succeed in competitive sports, as well as the resilience needed to overcome personal setbacks. With her family’s legacy behind her, Kai is carving out her own path in the world of professional golf.
