Netflix’s Beloved Show to Exit Streaming – Fans in Shock

There are plenty of exciting new shows currently available on Netflix, such as Big Mistakes, Bridgerton, and Heartbreak High. These titles have been generating a lot of buzz among viewers. However, it’s not all smooth sailing for streaming enthusiasts, as the platform occasionally removes popular shows that many consider comfort viewing.

This month has been particularly tough for fans of a certain comedy series. The show in question has become a staple for many, and its removal from Netflix has left a noticeable gap. The latest casualty of Netflix’s monthly cull is Schitt’s Creek, which will be leaving the platform on 15 May.

First released in 2015, this sitcom has captured the hearts of millions around the world. It follows the story of the wealthy Rose family, who find themselves forced to start over after losing everything. Instead of heading to a luxurious location, they end up in a small town called Schitt’s Creek, which they had previously bought as a joke.

The show features a stellar cast, including Dan, Sarah, and Eugene Levy, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, and the late Catherine O’Hara. Her passing in January has led to a renewed interest in the series, boosting its popularity once again.

During its six-season run, Schitt’s Creek received over 60 awards, with its final season winning nine Primetime Emmys. This achievement set a new record for a comedy series.

Fans have expressed their disappointment over the news, with one fan commenting, “Desperately trying to rewatch all 80 episodes,” while another joked, “It might be as long as I don’t eat, sleep or work.” Others have shared their own feelings of heartbreak, highlighting how much the show means to them.

But there’s still hope. It’s important to note that Netflix often removes content temporarily before bringing it back. In the case of Schitt’s Creek, the show is moving to Hulu for now, ensuring that fans can still enjoy it.

If you’re not a Hulu subscriber, there’s still a way to catch up with Dan Levy. He recently released Big Mistakes, a crime-comedy that he wrote and starred in. This new series is available on Netflix and shares some similarities with Schitt’s Creek, featuring a chaotic sibling duo. In this case, the sister is played by Taylor Ortega, and the pair ends up entangled in an organized crime ring due to a stolen necklace.

So, while we may be saying goodbye to our favorite timeless comedy for now, it’s not a permanent farewell. The show is still accessible through other platforms, and its legacy continues to thrive.
