A Heartfelt Birthday Celebration
Harry Redknapp, the former football manager, recently shared a touching message for his wife Sandra on her 79th birthday. The couple celebrated the special day with a heartfelt post on social media, showcasing their enduring love and commitment.
In the post, Harry wrote: ‘To my wife Sandra, happy birthday. You are my life.’ This simple yet powerful message captured the essence of their long-lasting relationship. Fans and followers were quick to respond with warm wishes for Sandra, praising the couple’s deep bond and the lessons they offer about love, family, and compassion.
Comments from fans included:
– ‘Love this, such an amazing couple that teaches us so much about love, family and compassion. Happy birthday Sandra’

– ‘Happy birthday Sandra harry you’re such a top bloke and the way you care for Sandra is so nice to see this day and age total legend mate true love that’

The couple’s son, Jamie, also joined in with a tribute to his mother. He wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my amazing mum. I love you so much, you’ve always been the best role model I could ask for. I hope you have the most wonderful day.’
Harry and Sandra married on 30 June 1968. Their journey began when they met at their local pub at the age of 17. They later tied the knot at Barking Abbey church, a place close to where they both grew up.
Navigating the I’m A Celebrity Controversy
While celebrating his wife’s birthday, Harry also found himself involved in the ongoing controversy surrounding this year’s All Stars series of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa. The show has seen some dramatic moments, including a heated argument between Jimmy Bullard and Adam.
During last week’s chaotic finale, fans witnessed Jimmy accusing Adam of being ‘abusive, aggressive and intimidating’ in a pre-recorded show. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Harry shared his thoughts on the incident, reflecting on the events that unfolded in South Africa.
‘That was a big and quite a bad argument,’ Harry said. ‘Adam really sort of lost his head with Jimmy, which was a shame because they’d got on very well.’
Harry also commented on the feud between Adam and David Haye, who has been accused of being a ‘bully’. He noted that Adam was ‘often upset about everything’, adding, ‘David seemed to be giving Adam lots of stick, you know, for whatever reason, and Adam seemed to spend an awful lot of time getting very upset about everything.’
The Impact of Hunger and Miscommunication
Harry revealed that he was unaware of most of the arguments that occurred in camp because he didn’t wear his hearing aids. ‘I really didn’t even hear what was going on because I do have hearing aids,’ he explained. ‘I couldn’t take them into the camp because there’s nowhere to charge them up and they’d only last 48 hours maximum.’
‘So yeah, I must be honest, a lot of the conversations that were going on across the camp, I honestly couldn’t hear. So I’m watching it now on TV. But at the time, I couldn’t sit there and say that I was really into what they were talking about. So it was difficult.’
Harry also touched on the impact of hunger on the arguments within and outside the camp. ‘We had one or two arguments, I suppose. You’ll always get that when you get people living together and getting a bit hungry and not getting food. They tend to happen I suppose, but it didn’t happen with me. I didn’t argue with anybody really.’

A Chaotic Finale
During the live finale, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly struggled to manage the situation as Gemma Collins and Sinitta stormed off stage in fury. The Geordie duo gave Jimmy the opportunity to speak after Adam allegedly called him the ‘C-word’ in an explosive clash when he pulled the plug on the show early last year.
Jimmy admitted he had to leave for personal reasons and that if he didn’t say ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in the challenge, he would not have received his full pay.
