Eugenie’s Baby News Confirms Her Royal Ties

Princess Eugenie Announces Pregnancy and Family News

Princess Eugenie has officially announced her pregnancy with her third child, marking a significant moment for the royal family. The news also highlights that she remains an integral part of The Firm, offering a rare positive development for her parents.

Eugenie, the younger daughter of Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, is 12th in the line of succession. Her unborn child will be 15th, pushing her uncle, Prince Edward, down to 16th. This update was shared through an official statement released by Buckingham Palace, rather than from the private office she shares with her older sister, Beatrice.

King Charles expressed his personal support for his niece and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, stating he is “delighted” with the news. However, the 52-word statement made no mention of the child’s grandparents, adding to the intrigue surrounding the announcement.

Palace Statement and Eugenie Instagram Post Announce Pregnancy

The announcement from the monarch’s own office, shared on the official Royal Family social media feeds, suggests that Eugenie will not face any repercussions for the actions of her parents. Despite the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who have been in hiding due to the Epstein Files scandal, the palace appears to be supporting the couple.

Buckingham Palace officials also revealed that Eugenie’s sons, August, aged five, and Ernest, aged two, are “very excited” to welcome a younger sibling. A photo shared by Eugenie shows Ernie wearing a Chelsea football kit and Augie in a long-sleeved grey T-shirt, both holding a picture of a baby scan.

In an Instagram post, Eugenie wrote: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” accompanied by a series of red heart emojis and one of a baby. The official statement from the palace read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer. August (aged five) and Ernest (aged two) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

Palace Announces Baby News Amid Scrutiny Surrounding Andrew

Charles extended an invitation to Eugenie and Beatrice to attend Christmas at Sandringham, where the sisters were seen with other royals at church on December 25. This gesture came despite the ongoing Epstein scandal involving their father.

The new arrival will not hold the title of HRH but will be 15th in line to the throne. Their great-uncle, the Duke of Edinburgh, will move down to 16th place. The child will also be the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the third to be born since her death in 2022.

This new addition will be the fifth grandchild of Prince Andrew, following the birth of Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Athena Mapelli Mozzi, in January last year. The announcement from Buckingham Palace, posted on its social media channel at 10am, is seen as a show of support for Eugenie despite the challenges surrounding her father.

Prince Andrew, the King’s brother, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office in February amid the scandal surrounding his friendship with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of child-related crimes.

Eugenie and Beatrice Miss Easter Sunday Gathering

Eugenie and Beatrice stayed away from the traditional royal gathering on Easter Sunday, with the agreement of Charles, amid the furore over their father. The princesses, who are granddaughters of the late Queen Elizabeth II, have faced scrutiny themselves after their names appeared in the Epstein files, the US Department of Justice’s document dump relating to the convicted sexual offender.

One email exchange suggested their mother, Sarah, took her daughters to see Epstein in the US days after he was released from prison for child sexual crimes. At the time, Eugenie and Beatrice were 19 and 20 years old, respectively.

The former duke and duchess were last seen in public alongside senior members of the Royal Family at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral in September last year. Mr Brooksbank celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday, with the King’s niece marking the occasion by sharing photographs on her Instagram story of her husband relaxing on a beach with the caption “Happy 40th my love”.

Public Sightings

Eugenie and her husband of seven years also looked to have thoroughly enjoyed a night without their sons, August and Ernest. The couple, who split their time between a Portuguese villa and a Kensington Palace cottage, affectionately call their boys Augie and Ernie.

The mother of two looked positively glowing in a long, loose, black dress and khaki shirt, while Jack wore jeans, trainers, a dark jacket, and a wide grin as they left Dorian Restaurant in Notting Hill. Hours earlier, in a rare public appearance together since the Epstein scandal engulfed the House of York, Beatrice and Eugenie chatted animatedly as they walked through Mayfair near Hanover Square.

One witness said they looked “in great spirits as they made the most of the sunshine.” The younger York sister led the way carrying a light summer jacket and bag while Beatrice, 37, followed her on a narrow path clutching her mobile phone. Tourists wandering through London’s most exclusive neighbourhood appeared oblivious to the fact they were brushing past royalty.

Their Soho Mews House lunch together last Thursday was the first time the sisters had been seen together in London for six months. In November, they were spotted hugging each other in the street just hours after their father Andrew was stripped of all his royal titles.

Without their parents, Beatrice and Eugenie joined the Royal Family at Sandringham on Christmas Day as the King showed his support for his nieces. But as the Epstein scandal swirled once again, and their father was arrested, the pair did not attend the royals’ traditional Easter service gathering at Windsor last month. Neither have been seen with their mother, Sarah Ferguson, or father in recent months.

Princess Eugenie Spotted in Sicily at Her First Public Event in Months

Eugenie has been spotted at a wedding in Sicily in her first public appearance in months. The princess attended the wedding of hotel tycoon Sir Rocco Forte’s son, Charles, and handbag designer Georgie Wright, which took place at the Cathedral of Montreale on Saturday. The daughter of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was pictured at the hotel Villa Igiea in Palermo, Italy, in the background of photographs shared by socialite Jazzy de Lisser, captioned: “That’s Amore. Most beautiful weekend celebrating The Poodles.” Eugenie could be seen speaking with guests and wearing a black gown.

She has been keeping a low profile since the shameful revelations about her parents emerged when the Epstein files were released in January.
