New UFO Files Released, Fueling Speculation About Extraterrestrial Life
The release of the first batch of UFO files has sparked renewed interest and speculation about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. These documents, which were made public on Friday morning, include a wealth of information, including videos, images, and audio recordings that shed light on unexplained phenomena witnessed during the Apollo moon missions.
The US Department of War has released hundreds of pages of documents, some of which are said to contain evidence of extraterrestrial sightings dating back to the 1940s. Among the most notable items in this initial batch are transcripts from the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 moon missions. These transcripts reveal encounters with strange objects that appeared to move around the lunar landers.
Apollo 17 Mission: A Mysterious Encounter
During the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, astronauts Gene Cernan, Jack Schmitt, and Ron Evans reported seeing a bright object that rotated and flashed rhythmically in space. Cernan described the sighting in detail, stating:
“I’m looking at what – what Jack was talking about; and it’s definitely not a particle that’s nearby because there is another one I can look at and get a three-dimensional comparison with. It is a bright object, and it’s obviously rotating because it’s flashing. It’s way out in the distance, as I say, because there are particles that are close by and it’s obviously not one of those.”
Cernan also noted that the object was moving in a very rhythmic fashion, with flashes occurring almost on time. He estimated the object’s position relative to Earth, saying it was approximately 10 to 12 Earth diameters away.
Strange Objects During the Flight
In addition to the sighting during the lunar landing, the Apollo 17 crew also reported seeing multiple small objects moving near their spacecraft during their flight. Evans mentioned that they observed bright particles or fragments drifting by as they maneuvered. Schmitt added:
“There’s a whole [bunch] of big ones on my window down there – just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window.”
Evans further described the objects as jagged, angular fragments that were tumbling. The astronauts noted that these objects were solid, not fluid, and mostly moved with the spacecraft, though some appeared to zip by more quickly.
Apollo 12: Another Unusual Sighting
Three years earlier, during the Apollo 12 moon mission, astronauts also reported strange sightings as they approached the lunar surface. While details of that encounter are less specific than those from Apollo 17, the fact that multiple missions have documented similar experiences has only deepened the mystery surrounding these unexplained phenomena.
