Volvo EX30 discount slashes electric car costs

Volvo Offers Significant Discounts on EX30 and XC60 Models

Volvo has introduced nationwide away prices for its electric SUV, the EX30, and the family SUV, the XC60, offering substantial savings to customers across various states and territories. These discounts can help buyers save thousands of dollars, making these models more attractive in the competitive automotive market.

EX30 Electric SUV: A Range of Savings

The EX30 Plus Single Motor Extended Range model is now available at an away price of $54,990. This represents a saving of $1,061.46 for customers registering the vehicle in New South Wales, or $1,250.49 for those in Victoria. The special offer applies to cars ordered and delivered between now and the end of October.

The recommended retail price of the EX30 was recently reduced to make way for the upcoming EX60 model. This adjustment led to a drop in prices by $10,000 for the Single Motor Extended Range Plus variant and $11,300 for the Ultra version.

The base-model EX30 is powered by a single electric motor that drives the rear wheels, producing 200kW/343Nm. It is equipped with a 69kWh battery, which provides a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 480km.

Volvo claims that the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 per cent capacity in just 28 minutes, making it a convenient option for daily use. All interior information is displayed on a central 12.3-inch touchscreen display, which includes Google apps, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

XC60 Special Edition: A Great Value for Money

The Volvo XC60 SUV is being offered at an away price of $79,990 for the 2026 model-year (MY26) Plus Bright Special Edition with Lifestyle Pack. This deal is available for vehicles ordered and delivered between now and 30 June.

Depending on stock availability, customers can save $4,411.47 if registered in New South Wales, or $4,384.50 for those purchasing the car in Victoria. Compared to the standard XC60, the Special Edition features 20-inch alloy wheels, while the addition of the Lifestyle Pack brings a panoramic sunroof, tinted rear windows, and a Harman Kardon sound system.

Finance Options for Eligible Buyers

In addition to the discounts, eligible buyers can take advantage of a 1 per cent annual finance rate through Volvo Car Financial Services. This rate applies to approved applicants for the standard Consumer loan or Chattel Mortgage interest rate for eligible Volvo electric models.

Electric vehicles with a regular retail price below the Luxury Car Tax threshold of $91,387 before accessories and on-road costs are eligible for this discount. While the 1 per cent finance rate has no set end date, Volvo reserves the right to amend or withdraw it at any time.

These offers highlight Volvo’s commitment to making its electric and hybrid vehicles more accessible to a wider range of customers. With significant savings on both the EX30 and XC60 models, along with favorable financing options, Volvo is positioning itself as a strong contender in the electric vehicle market.
