Riley Green Joins The Voice as a New Coach
Country star Riley Green made a recent appearance at HEYDUDE’s new store in Austin, Texas, on Friday. Known for his laid-back style, the 37-year-old from Alabama was seen wearing a Hank Williams T-shirt, worn-in blue jeans, and gray sneakers. This casual look is typical of Green, who has built a reputation for his down-to-earth personality and authentic country sound.
Green is currently on tour across the United States and has just been announced as a coach for the fall season of The Voice. He will join an impressive lineup that includes Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Levine for season 30 of the popular singing competition.
“I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall,” Green wrote on Instagram, sharing his excitement about the new role. The show is set to return in September on NBC, marking another milestone in Green’s career.

In a clip shared by Green, he appears to be speaking with Kelly Clarkson, one of the show’s other judges. The conversation highlights the friendly rapport between the two stars.
“Riley Green! This is Kelly Clarkson, that is officially the last time we’re going to use each other’s full names,” Clarkson said. “But we have never officially met, so I’m super stoked to coach alongside you. Welcome to The Voice!”
Green responded with enthusiasm, saying, “I was stoked when I heard you were going to be a coach because I’m actually a super-fan of your music, you’re so good. You probably know that because I’ve covered your songs.”
Clarkson added, “Anyway, big fan! But needless to say, fan and all, it’s a competition. Needless to say, I think you’re gonna need to practice because Team Kelly is gonna whoop that [expletive].”

This isn’t the first time Green has appeared on The Voice. He previously performed on the show with Ella Langley in season 26 and again by himself two seasons later. His return as a coach marks a significant step in his career, showing how far he has come in the music industry.
Adam Levine is also set to return for the new season, adding to the excitement around the upcoming episodes. Green’s presence on the show is expected to bring a fresh perspective, blending his country roots with the competitive spirit of The Voice.
