The match will take place on Saturday, 30 May, in Budapest. Arsenal concluded their league campaign with a game away against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, where they were presented with the coveted trophy at Selhurst Park.
The Arsenal trophy parade has been confirmed to take place on Sunday, 31 May, in north London. The event will start at 2pm that afternoon. Regardless of whether the Gunners return from Hungary with the Champions League trophy, the open-top bus parade will happen the day after the final. This means a very quick turnaround for the squad, staff, and supporters who made the journey to Budapest.
A statement from Arsenal said: “This will be a major public event, and we anticipate large numbers of supporters will turn out in the local area.” The club also warned residents and businesses that the event will cause disruption, including road closures and parking suspensions. “You may also find it difficult to move normally around the borough or pass through the route,” the statement added. What is the route for the Arsenal parade?
The parade route has now been confirmed, featuring four buses and musical performances. The men’s first team will occupy the first bus, followed by the men’s first-team staff, the women’s team, and supporters from Arsenal’s community programmes on the fourth bus.
The parade will begin on Holloway Road before turning onto Seven Sisters Road. From there, it will follow Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road, Green Lanes, and Petherton Road. Heading south down Petherton Road, the buses will then turn onto Beresford Road and travel through Newington Green Road to reach Essex Road.
After moving along Essex Road, the parade will head back north via Upper Street and return to the junction with Holloway Road. Due to the expected turnout of between 500,000 and one million supporters, there will be no trophy lift or speeches at the end of the parade.
