Mensik exits court in wheelchair after intense five-set win

Jakub Mensik, a 20-year-old Czech player and the 26th seed, was assisted into a wheelchair after collapsing onto the court during his intense five-set match against Mario Navone at the French Open. The match, which lasted four hours and 41 minutes under extremely hot conditions in Paris, ended with Mensik securing a hard-fought victory with a score of 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (13-11).

Mensik showed signs of physical struggle early in the match, requiring a medical timeout due to cramps. After winning the match, he was unable to meet Navone at the net for a handshake, as the Argentinian had to walk around to shake his hand while Mensik remained lying on the clay.
