Australia’s New Leadership

As a result, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis has been appointed as the captain for the ODI side. Inglis previously captained Australia against Pakistan in 2024.
In addition to Inglis, Cooper Connolly has been added to the squad following his impressive performance in the IPL 2026 for Punjab Kings. He replaces Mitchell Marsh in the final selection.
Pakistan’s Experienced Squad
For Pakistan, the ODI squad features a mix of experienced and emerging talent. Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf have all returned to the team. Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the side, with Salman Ali Agha as vice-captain. Younger players such as Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas, and Rohail Nazir have also been included in the squad.
The team management hopes that the combination of seasoned players and fresh energy will help Pakistan perform strongly on home soil.
Venues for the ODI Series
The series will be played at two major cricket grounds in Pakistan. The opening match will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, followed by the next two matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Both venues have a history of hosting international cricket, and fans can expect an exciting atmosphere, especially with Australia making the trip.
