Sarah Ferguson and Sean Combs: Royal Author Stands By ‘Friends with Benefits’ Claim

The Claims and the Author’s Stance

Andrew Lownie, a renowned author known for his work on royal affairs, has not wavered in his assertions regarding the alleged intimate relationship between Sarah Ferguson and Sean “Diddy” Combs. In the revised edition of his 2025 book titled The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Lownie stands by his claims, emphasizing that they are fully supported by sources from both P. Diddy and Sarah Ferguson’s former employees.

A Relationship Shrouded in Mystery

According to the book, the ex-Duchess of York, now 66, and the disgraced music mogul, 56, were involved in a “friends with benefits” relationship. Lownie suggests that their connection began at a 2002 party hosted by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate. It was reportedly two years later that their relationship turned sexual.

Diddy’s Ambitions and Royal Connections

Lownie also claims that Diddy spoke about his encounters with Ferguson to his colleagues, expressing eagerness for the day when Fergie’s daughters would come of age. This statement is particularly concerning given that Ferguson and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, have two daughters: Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 36.

Ferguson introduced the York sisters to Diddy during one of his extravagant yacht parties in 2006. A royal staffer recalled, “Sean’s parties were wild. The fact that she brought Eugenie around was alarming.”

Luxury Meetings Across Continents

According to Lownie, Ferguson and Diddy met several times in luxurious hotels across Africa and Europe. One source described an instance where they stayed at a seven-star hotel that cost over $68,000 per night. The pair reportedly spared no expense during their meetings.

Ferguson, who had previously been a spokesperson for Weight Watchers, expressed a desire to marry someone in the U.S. who was wealthy and powerful.

Legal Troubles and Public Scrutiny

Currently, Diddy is serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix after being convicted last year on two counts of transportation for prostitution. His legal troubles continue to draw public attention.

Meanwhile, the former Prince Andrew, 66, faced arrest in February due to his links with Jeffrey Epstein. He was charged with suspicion of misconduct in public office related to his association with the late sex trafficker.

The Impact on the Royal Family

Lownie’s book chronicles the rise and fall of Prince Andrew and Ferguson. Their friendship with Epstein and Maxwell throughout the early 2000s significantly damaged their reputations. Andrew lost his titles last year by King Charles and was removed from the Royal Lodge alongside Ferguson.

Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide while in jail in August 2019, while Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her sex trafficking crimes at a Federal Prison Camp in Texas.
