Doctor Sounds Alarm on Unsubstantiated Claims About Trump’s Health

Health Concerns Surrounding Donald Trump

After completing a medical examination at Walter Reed, former President Donald Trump shared on Truth Social that “Everything checked out PERFECTLY.” However, this statement has raised questions among medical experts, particularly regarding his health and the transparency of his medical information.

Dr. Vin Gupta, an NBC News medical analyst, has expressed concerns about Trump’s health, especially noting issues with his inflamed skin and lingering rashes. Gupta pointed out that while the White House attributes the rash to high-dose aspirin and handshaking, there are inconsistencies in this explanation.

Medical Discrepancies and Unanswered Questions

Gupta explained that high-dose aspirin typically causes other forms of bleeding, such as from the gut or stomach lining, rather than rashes on the back of the hands. He questioned the credibility of the White House’s claims, suggesting that they may be misleading the public.

“High-dose aspirin tends to cause other forms of bleeding, including from the gut and the stomach lining, rather than the back of the hands,” Gupta said. “This is unusual, and it’s strange that they attribute it to this when we usually see chronic GI bleeding in people on high-dose aspirin.”

Gupta also criticized the White House for not providing clear information about Trump’s health. He suggested that if they were honest, they could simply state that he is using a topical cream to prevent a pre-cancerous skin rash from becoming cancerous. This would help reduce speculation and restore public trust.

Executive Functioning and Behavioral Concerns

While Gupta was unsure if Trump was showing signs of multi-organ dysfunction, he admitted to having serious concerns about his executive functioning. He noted that Trump’s behavior, such as threatening genocide, raises questions about his ability to make rational decisions under stress.

“We are having some real issues here with impulse control because any reasonable person would say that if you have to threaten genocide, you’re not in a strong negotiating position,” Gupta said. “It’s not a normal way to negotiate.”

Gupta also highlighted differences between Trump and President Joe Biden, pointing out that Trump is displaying signs of aging such as poor impulse control and disinhibition.

Public Perception and Political Implications

Other critics believe that Trump may be acting without regard for his popularity, possibly due to a belief that he is dying. Wajahat Ali and Allison Gill commented that Trump is “decaying, both in body and popularity,” and that his actions reflect those of a paranoid, weak leader who knows his end is near.

“The nearly 80-year-old vulgarian is a diminished man with historically low favorability ratings,” they said. “He has dragged the GOP down with him. His actions are more reflective of a paranoid, weak king who knows his end is near and is desperately trying to sandbag against the vengeful wave that is about to topple his kingdom.”

Ongoing Speculation and Analysis

The concerns surrounding Trump’s health and behavior have led to increased scrutiny and analysis. Several articles have explored the possibility of mental decline, with experts questioning whether it matters if Trump has dementia.
