Michael Jackson: The Verdict

Available from 3rd June, this three-part documentary delves into a lesser-known part of Michael Jackson’s legacy that was not covered in the recent biopic. In 2003, Jackson faced multiple charges of child molestation, which led to a media frenzy and a courtroom drama that captured the attention of millions. The documentary revisits the case, featuring key individuals – both accusers and defenders – who played significant roles in the legal saga.

The Murder of Rachel Nickell

Releasing on 4th June, this gripping documentary by BAFTA-nominated director Lucy Bowden explores the tragic murder of a young mother on London’s Wimbledon Common in 1992. Her two-year-old toddler was the only witness to the crime. The film uses exclusive archive footage, first-hand accounts from family members, and insights from forensic experts to examine the years-long investigation that followed. It is released on the same day as The Witness, which tells the story of how Alex and André Hanscombe – the son and husband of Rachel – dealt with the aftermath of this unimaginable tragedy.

USA 94: Brazil’s Return to Glory

Set for release on 7th June, this feature-length documentary takes a look back at Brazil’s journey to victory at the 1994 World Cup. Featuring interviews and never-before-seen footage shot by the players themselves, it’s a must-watch for football fans. Netflix is also embracing World Cup fever with a range of exclusive sports programmes alongside video versions of Gary Lineker’s popular podcast The Rest is Football.

This new eight-episode series, available from 18th June, is a Harlan Coben thriller starring Sam Worthington as David Burroughs, a man wrongfully serving a life sentence for murdering his son. When he hears that his son may still be alive, he embarks on a truth-finding mission that leads him out of prison and into a world of deceit and despair. If you’re a fan of thrilling stories, this one is definitely worth your time.

The American Experiment

Releasing on 24th June, this five-part documentary is perfect for history and politics enthusiasts. As the USA approaches its 250th anniversary, the series reexamines the nation’s founding and the radical question at the heart of the revolution: Can a people govern themselves? The documentary features a wide range of voices, including former vice presidents, cabinet officials, current and former members of Congress, a former Supreme Court justice, leading historians, tribal chiefs, and military experts. It offers a timely discussion on the past, present, and future of American democracy.

Little Brother

For those looking for a good laugh, Little Brother is set for release on 26th June. Starring John Cena and Eric André, the comedy follows a famous real estate agent whose life is turned upside down when his eccentric ‘little brother’ (André) reappears. Expect chaos, from a kitchen going up in smoke to an accident-prone André breaking almost every bone in his body.
