“Levi is known above all for its winter, but the northern summer is still undiscovered by many,” said Satu Pesonen, CEO of Visit Levi. “We want to give travellers a new reason to visit Levi when the sun never sets and the fell landscape reveals a completely different side of itself.”
To take part in the search, visitors can head to the Midnight Sun Hunt website. This initiative has been organised in collaboration with Agnico Eagle Finland, a gold mining company based in Kittilä, and Levi Ski Resort. The event aims to promote Levi as a sustainable travel destination while offering an unforgettable experience for adventurers.
Participants won’t need to dig to find the gold bar, and they must remain within designated areas while searching. This ensures that the environment is preserved and the experience remains safe for everyone involved.
