Representing India as a player was a matter of immense pride, and the opportunity to contribute to Indian Cricket once again in a coaching capacity is deeply special. I look forward to working with the players and supporting the team’s pursuit of excellence across formats.”

Sairaj Bahutule has built a rich and diverse coaching career spanning domestic cricket, the Indian Premier League (IPL), and national development pathways. He has been a key figure at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy, now known as the Centre of Excellence, where he worked from 2021 to 2024.
During this time, he regularly guided India A squads under the broader framework led by Rahul Dravid. He also took on senior responsibilities, including serving as a spin-bowling consultant during the 2022-23 home Test series against Australia and as an assistant coach on the Ireland tour.
Bahutule played a pivotal role in the success of India’s ICC Under-19 World Cup campaign in 2022, and he remained involved in the 2024 edition. His contributions were also evident when India secured gold at the Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023, where he led the bowling unit.
