A Night of Surprises and Drama on Britain’s Got Talent
During the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent, singer Matty Juniosa made history by securing his second Golden Buzzer, a rare achievement that has left fans both impressed and divided. The performance was not only a highlight of the show but also a moment that sparked discussions across social media platforms.
Matty first captured the audience’s attention during his audition with a stunning rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” His powerful vocals and emotional delivery earned him a standing ovation and a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell. This time around, he once again delivered an unforgettable performance that had the judges and audience in awe.
Amanda Holden, one of the show’s judges, revealed that she had considered the possibility of using her Golden Buzzer for the final act. She stated, “I said to the producers what happens if I don’t give out my Golden Buzzer? They said, ‘Well it goes to the audience.’ I wasn’t going to let it go to the audience.”
Simon Cowell added, “Your range is incredible and you are the sweetest person. Two Golden Buzzers—that isn’t bad, is it? I’m so happy for you.”
Despite the excitement, some fans felt the surprise was somewhat predictable. Many took to social media to express their thoughts, with comments such as:
- “So I assume Amanda is going to golden buzzer the next act if it’s the last one? Hope it’s not s*** or that’s a waste of a final spot.”
- “Considering that the golden buzzer has been left untouched until now, I think we all saw this coming.”
- “What a coincidence they save the best till last and now Amanda has to give him the Golden Buzzer again when she could have used it for someone who never got one.”
Matty’s performance was followed by a public vote, which confirmed that he would be joined in the final by Anastasiia & Salsa. The dancing duo, consisting of dog trainer Anastasiia and her pet Salsa, performed a routine to Myles Smith’s hit song “Stargazing,” which secured them their spot in the final.
Anastasiia and Salsa’s performance was praised by the judges, with Amanda Holden saying, “I thought that was a fantastic performance and I can see how much you want it.” Simon Cowell added, “You are the kind of artist where you put eight spoonfuls of sugar in your tea, you put about ten thousand in.”
The show also featured some unexpected moments, including a lighthearted jab from Ant and Dec at the recent drama from the “I’m A Celebrity” finale. The Geordie duo returned to TV after a break and made sure to remind the judges to behave.
During the live semi-final, Ant and Dec faced some awkward moments, particularly with ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard, who had accused eventual winner Adam Thomas of being “abusive, aggressive and intimidating” during a previous show. Despite the tension, the duo remained upbeat, with Ant joking, “I love live telly me,” and Dec replying, “There’s nothing better is there?”
Ant also made a humorous request to the judges, saying, “We had quite enough drama on the telly last night so can you please, you four, be on your best behaviour?” He referenced Sinitta and Gemma Collins storming out of the explosive final, adding, “If you misbehave, you’ll be out quicker than Sinitta.”
Later, Amanda joked, “After watching your extraordinary performance last night, I took notes. I have learnt from the best!”
