Best-selling author Colleen Hoover is making waves once again with the upcoming film adaptation of her thriller, Verity. In an effort to finish the series, Verity’s husband, Jeremy, hires a struggling author named Lowen Ashleigh, who is on the brink of financial ruin.
The novel’s synopsis states: “Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity’s notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died.”
Initially, Lowen decides to keep the works hidden from Jeremy, fearing the impact it could have on the grieving father. However, as she develops feelings for him, the story takes a complex turn, adding layers of tension and intrigue.
When & Where To Watch Verity In Australia
The film is being produced by Amazon MGM, with Michael Showalter, who also directed The Idea Of You, taking the helm. According to Variety, the film will be released in theatres in May 2026. Given that it is an Amazon production, it is expected to eventually be available on Prime Video later this year.
