There has been a lot of buzz around the possibility of new music from Beyoncé, and these speculations are growing as the Met Gala approaches on Monday, May 5. This event marks Beyoncé’s return to the major fashion event after a ten-year hiatus; her last appearance was in 2016.
Beyoncé’s album trilogy has focused on the influence and impact of Black culture across different music genres. Act I, Renaissance, was a dance and ballroom music album released in 2022, followed by Act II, Cowboy Carter, a country album released in 2024. Now, there are rumors that Act III will be a rock album.
Fans have also noticed an intriguing addition to Beyoncé’s official website, where a video featuring Destiny’s Child hugging “Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll” Stevie Nicks has appeared. Could this be a hint at a potential collaboration?
Looking at Beyoncé’s history, such a collaboration would make sense. She has previously worked with icons in their respective genres. For instance, she teamed up with Madonna for the ‘Break My Soul’ remix from Renaissance. Dolly Parton also appeared twice on Cowboy Carter, first as a fictional radio DJ on the track ‘Dolly P,’ and then in a cameo at the start of the song ‘Tyrant.’ Beyoncé even created her own 2024 version of Parton’s track ‘Jolene.’
Despite these hints, Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, addressed the rumors on social media on Tuesday, April 28, denying the supposed Met Gala album rollout. She wrote in response to a fan account on X, “This is unequivocally false!!”
However, this hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about a possible collaboration with Stevie Nicks. One person commented, “YALL ITS REALLY HAPPENING.” Another wrote, “THAT STEVIE NICKS FEATURE IS COMINGGG,” while a third added, “Stop playing with me @beyonce.” A fourth person posted, “Yvette seeing Beyoncé post that Stevie Nicks video on her website after trying to convince everyone Act III wasn’t coming.” A fifth person reacted, “Act III is classic rock, you will never hear me shut up about this she did this for me.” Finally, someone added, “FLEETWOODYONCE INCOMINGGG.”
We will certainly be keeping our eyes peeled for any updates.
Elsewhere, Beyoncé’s Cécred has launched five new hair products, and we’ve tried them. Additionally, the theme for the Met Gala 2026 has been revealed, with Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian leading fan predictions.
