Prince Andrew, the former royal, has experienced a positive moment this year as his daughter, Princess Eugenie, is expecting her third child. The news marks a significant development in the life of the 36-year-old, who recently shared the exciting update on Instagram.
Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, announced the arrival of baby number three with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. The couple posted a heartfelt message on May 4, captioning the image with “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.” The post featured their two sons, August, aged five, and Ernest, aged two, holding a sonogram.
Buckingham Palace also confirmed the news by sharing the same photograph. The official statement read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.” It added, “August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family.” The message also noted that King Charles had been informed and was delighted with the news.

Eugenie’s announcement came just one day after celebrating her husband’s 40th birthday with a series of sweet Instagram Stories. She wrote, “Happy 40th my love,” alongside a photo of Brooksbank lying on a beach. Another snap showed the couple’s son running around the same scene.
The post also included a message reading, “Here’s to another 16,” which featured the duo smiling side by side. A final photo captured a selfie of Eugenie and her husband, who married in 2018, in front of a large body of water.

This pregnancy announcement was the first time Eugenie had posted to her Instagram feed since November 2025. This period coincided with the recent scandal involving her parents and their past connections to the late child predator, Jeffrey Epstein.
Eugenie had only uploaded content twice to her profile in the months between revealing her pregnancy and the Buckingham Palace announcement on October 30. That day, the second youngest child of Queen Elizabeth was stripped of all royal titles and privileges, including being evicted from Royal Lodge.

The palace statement said, “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.” It added, “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.”
The statement continued, “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation.” The monarchy emphasized that these actions were deemed necessary, even though Prince Andrew continues to deny the allegations against him.

This development highlights the ongoing challenges faced by members of the royal family, particularly those involved in controversies. Despite the difficulties, the announcement of Eugenie’s pregnancy brings a sense of hope and joy for the family.
As the royal family navigates these changes, the focus remains on the new addition to the Brooksbank family. The couple’s journey, from their wedding in 2018 to their current status as parents of two, reflects their commitment to each other and their growing family.
With the upcoming arrival of their third child, the Brooksbanks are preparing for a new chapter filled with love, support, and the excitement of welcoming another member into their lives.
