The list of withdrawals includes China’s Li Shi Feng, Indonesia’s men’s doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, and China’s Jiang Zhenbang and Li Yijing. Their decisions were announced through a post on X, highlighting the growing uncertainty surrounding the event.

Key Players Opting Out

Li Shi Feng, currently ranked world No. 7, has been a crucial figure in China’s badminton team over the past few years. He is considered one of the leading men’s singles players globally. His achievements include winning the 2023 All England Open, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the sport, and securing gold in the men’s team event at the 2022 Asian Games.

The Indonesian duo of Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani holds the world No. 7 ranking in men’s doubles. They have consistently performed well in BWF tournaments, making their mark with strong showings in several BWF World Tour events. Their ability to defeat higher-ranked pairs in recent seasons has earned them recognition as a formidable team.
