Kerry Katona Speaks Out on Lee Andrews’ Absence
Kerry Katona has finally spoken out about her close friend Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, after he missed a scheduled appearance on Good Morning Britain on Monday. The Dubai-based businessman, 42, was expected to travel to the UK to reunite with his wife, 47, whom he married in January following a whirlwind ten-day romance. However, he failed to board the flight, later claiming he had “things to do” but was still on his way.
Katie Price, who recently removed her wedding ring and appeared without it during a photo with her son Harvey, described their relationship as a “soap opera.” Her comments have led to speculation that the marriage may be on the rocks.
Kerry, who has grown distant from Katie in recent months, expressed her concerns in her latest New Magazine column. She wrote: “I’ve not spoken to Katie for a while and I have no idea what’s going on with her and her husband Lee Andrews, but I did see that he failed to turn up to a scheduled interview on GMB.”
She continued: “Like the rest of the country, I was waiting for him to show, and I feel bad that he didn’t. What a big let down on national TV! How do you just miss a flight for something so important? I’ve got nothing but love for Kate and I just want what’s best for her, so I hope she wasn’t too gutted by his no-show.”
A Tumultuous Relationship
Kerry and her boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione, recently traveled to the UAE for a romantic Valentine’s Day trip, where they joined Katie and Lee. However, Paolo left after just 14 hours following an alleged altercation with Lee. The incident reportedly occurred when Paolo believed Lee was speaking to Katie in an aggressive manner. Katie denied these claims.
This is not the first time tensions have arisen between the two men. In March, Lee was said to have punched Paolo during a heated argument in Dubai, which caused a rift between Kerry and Katie.
Katie’s Social Media Posts Spark Speculation
Just 24 hours after the interview, Katie baffled her social media followers by posting a cryptic message suggesting that Lee was still “all the love she ever needs,” despite removing her wedding ring. She shared a post featuring two lovers in an embrace, alongside Lee’s Instagram handle and a description of his supposed benefits.
The caption read: “He’s like all the love I’ve ever poured into the world finally found its way back to me, wrapped in human form.” This message appears to reference a popular quote that ends with the line: “He is the universe’s apology for all that I’ve endured.”
Signs of Discontent
Katie has shown signs of frustration with Lee’s absence, particularly after he canceled a planned reunion in the UK. She posted a photo with her son Harvey, this time without her wedding ring, shortly after criticizing Lee for scrapping their plans.
Lee, whose heavily filtered Instagram posts have drawn attention from questionable followers, has since disabled comments on his account. He is currently in Dubai, where he is reportedly under a travel ban.
In a recent post, Katie confirmed that her left hand was missing the ring she received from Lee during their shotgun wedding in January. She captioned the photo: “Goodnight from me and my Harvey bear.”
Confronting the Situation
Katie has not confirmed whether her marriage is in crisis but has hinted that she has given Lee an ultimatum. In a clip released on Thursday, she spoke about the situation on her Katie Price Podcast, saying: “I just want him here, just to visit here and shut everyone up that he can get here.”
She added: “So next week when we do the pod, we’ll find out whether he’s come to England or not and we’ll see what he’s said.”
Katie admitted she has already confronted Lee about the issue, saying: “It’s the fact you keep saying you’re coming and then don’t come. Of course, everyone is going to flag up. Even I’ve flagged it up to him. Big time I’ve flagged it up now. I said, ‘Don’t do that to me again. Me having to go on live TV without you and make me look stupid and a d***.’”
Sophie, Katie’s sister, echoed similar sentiments, telling her: “I can’t even say his name, because he winds me up. I think he is a fking dkhead on Instagram if I am honest and I think you deserve better Kate.”
A Clear Message
Despite the drama, Katie insisted that the only issue in her marriage is Lee’s failure to come to England. She said: “I am not stupid, the noise I hear about he is a con artist and scam, the only thing he has done to disappoint me is not come to England when he says he is, especially when I am going on live TV and he doesn’t turn up.”
She concluded: “That has disappointed me because I know he has work to do. His plan is to come to England for a long time. I just want him to visit here and shut everyone up. So next week when we do the pod, we will find out if he has come to England or not.”
