Chace Crawford recently opened up about his dating history with his Gossip Girl co-stars during an appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast. The 40-year-old actor clarified that he never entered into a romantic relationship with any of the main cast members, including Blake Lively or Leighton Meester, during the show’s production.
Crawford acknowledged that some connections might have formed, particularly with guest stars, but he emphasized that he never dated anyone from the main cast. “Yeah, there’s things that happen or connections that happen,” he said, adding, “I never dated anyone on the show.” This revelation could surprise fans, as several cast members were known to have real-life romances during the show’s run.
Reflecting on the set environment, Crawford described the long hours spent working on the series. “There’s a lot of guest stars and people in the orbit of the show that you’d meet through other friends,” he noted. While romantic relationships could develop, he maintained a professional distance from his main costars.
In fact, several cast members did form real-life relationships. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley dated from 2007 to 2010, while Leighton Meester was in a relationship with Sebastian Stan during the same time. Crawford recognized that such off-set relationships were common, especially with a young cast spending so much time together.
During a previous appearance on “Call Her Daddy,” Crawford described these romances as “inevitable.” However, he reiterated that he personally never dated anyone from the show, differentiating his experience from that of his co-stars.
